Hello friend! Thanks for popping by to check out what is going on in our little AW world. Let’s just say that if you are here for a little color, you are in for an extra fun and colorful treat today! A few months ago, I got the opportunity to work with an amazing custom upholstery and window treatment company that has been around since 1948… Calico. I had actually used them in a design project way way way back when I did interior design right out of college. When they reached out I knew I wanted to say yes but wasn’t 100% sure quite yet what reupholstery project I had in mind for the collaboration.
Until I chatted with one of our absolutely amazingly talented and precious designers on our AW team who also just so happens to be a dear friend of mine. We all sit in the office and chat for hours and hours and hours each week while we design away and she’d mentioned a chair that her husband had just gotten from his childhood home. The piece is incredibly special to them but the fabric… not so much. She had envisioned something super fun and colorful with a whimsical mix of prints between the front and back of the chair. The only next word that I have for this adorable chair in this adorable home is OBSESSED! I so so love that Calico helped bring a childhood memory into 2021 looking like it was always meant to be here…
