Another Peek at New Waterproof Engineered Flooring Options Inside Our Home…

Hello my friends!!! I. Cannot. Believe. It. Is. Basically. May. Crazzzzyyyy! I feel like I was writing my New Years Resolutions post just last week and here my girls are with only five weeks left of school. Nuts. I have been working double time lately trying to get my brick & mortar store ready to open, trying to get caught up on blog posts before we leave for Europe for the Summer, attending and preparing for all of the end of the year school events and parties and field trips aaaaaand well… trying to keep up with everything else in life. Y’all know how that goes! Sometimes I truly just sit back and wonder how anyone does it. Work and kids and a house and life and everything in between is just a lot sometimes. A lot.
In addition to everything else we have going on, we’ve also had some crazy things going on around the house as well. As I have written about lots and lots over the last three years, we live in a 1905 home that we gutted down to the studs and literally basically rebuilt from the ground up. It was a shell of a home no further along than a newly framed home. We re-wired, re-plumbed and “re-everythinged” our home during the 12 month renovation process. So after move-in day we thought we could wash our hands of the process and call it a day! Buuuuut no… just this year we had to have French drains dug in our finished basement after it flooded, we are having to shore up our living and dining rooms because they are settling from the weight of walls we removed and heavy furnishings we added AND Addison’s bedroom now needs new flooring because the door behind her bed has been slowly leaking rain water underneath her bed. See… life is nuts y’all.
A couple of weeks ago I shared some issues we are having with the hardwoods in the kitchen… one of the few original features we have in our home. Today I am sharing some options we are considering for the same issues in our dining and living rooms. From the foyer through the dining and living rooms, we are looking at installing TRIUMPH waterproof engineered flooring. It’s the same beautiful look as our 114 year old hardwoods but in a MUCH more durable material. It is even waterproof too! TRIUMPH has so so many benefits that you won’t find in standard hardwood flooring. First, it is waterproof! Next, it is pet friendly and scratch resistant! Perfect for our little Winnie who rides her scooter around our home like it’s her job. LOL! Also, the installation is fast and it can even be installed over existing floors. TRIUMPH has high indentation resistance, high dimensional stability and a quiet comfort underfoot. And the best part? It looks and feels like real wood! They also have amazing carpet too! Their Dream Weaver carpet is stain resistant and pet/kid friendly. You can even treat spills with diluted bleach without harming the carpet!
To visualize the different options inside our home, I used Engineered Floors’ EF-EYE Visualizer. This allows consumers to see carpet or hard surface product in their home before making the purchase or having it installed. Using AR technology, a consumer can go on the Dream Weaver or Engineered Floors Hard Surfaces website, take a picture of their space, and drop any product into the picture of their home. Here is a peek at several options inside our living and dining rooms. You guys will have to let me know which option is your FAVE!

Pompeii.
I just have to say….I’m happy for and all the wonderful things that are happening to you. However, I do miss your old blogs. That is one of the reasons I started following you. I’d love less of the Amazon fashions and more of you in stories. I get that you are super busy, the girls are growing and life in general is busy but I feel like you are spreading yourself too thin. Again, happy for you but I miss the old content.

I agree too I love the home décor posts. And I am wondering why you need to replace the floors. The old wood is sooooooooooo much more beautiful than any of these engineered ones. I just has so much character. Is it damaged beyond repair in all your rooms?

Ditto above sentiments! Your roots are grounded in designing and making spaces come to LIFE! Would also love to also see you find that passion again in your posts. Many blessings as you continue through your designing/blogging journey. It’s not easy! TRUST ME…I know, I tried it as a homeschooling mom and full-time designer in Miami.
