You Guys!!! I am soooo excited to share today’s post! Several weeks ago, my sweet Addison and I traveled to New York City for the unveiling of Ashley HomeStore’s new furniture line… mane + masonTM. It was actually our very first trip just the two of us and honestly a dream experience for her and I both. I got the chance to show her what I do for a living and she got a little two day tour of one of my very favorite cities in the world. Truly a three day trip I will never ever forget. I can honestly say that I have had the wonderful opportunity over the last several years of blogging to work with some of THE BEST COMPANIES and Ashley HomeStore is right on up there at the top of that list! I mean, they let my daughter come to their event. How wonderful and family friendly is that?!?
Ashley HomeStore has always been on my shopping radar as I’ve furnished and designed quite a few homes over the last thirteen years. We have some great locations close by and I have always been impressed with their selection, prices and customer service. I remember literally furnishing about half of our first home from our local store way back in 2001! And just as my style is always changing, Ashley HomeStore is always advancing their aesthetic as well! It’s always a place I like to pop in to see what’s new and what could work in a space I am working on. And that is why I was super excited to see their newest line… mane + masonTM In New York city! Doesn’t get much more fabulous than that!
mane + masonTM is a modern approach to classic farmhouse design. In my opinion, it’s the next step in a style that has stolen the hearts of designers and homeowners across the country. It is also a style that has shown it plans to stick around for quite some time! Even if that does mean a slow evolution with a more modern twist. I can honestly say that the new mane + masonTM line is truly STUNNING! Debuting mid-September, it is a line that you can mix and match between collections or design an entire room around! As always with Ashley HomeStore, the furniture is durable and affordably priced compared to competitors. Each piece can evolve just as your style does and can grow with your family. Even as a more colorful and “funky” designer, I found so many classic and timeless pieces that would blend beautifully into my designs. I always like to incorporate neutral tones and classic lines into my spaces and there were so so many of those! It is truly the perfect blend of nostalgia and contemporary. Ashley HomeStore always provides next day delivery and white glove service, setting it apart once again from so many other companies!
Just three short weeks ago, Addie and I hopped on a plane to NYC to celebrate the release of this beautiful new line. We landed around lunchtime, Ubered to the Springhill Suites on 5th and 37th, got changed and then headed to Gary’s lofts for the big event. Gary’s loft is an event space located right in the heart of NYC with the most crazy amazing rooftop view of The Empire State Building. The event was was honestly jaw-dropping. From the moment we stepped off of the elevator, Addie and I both were like WOW!!! This beautiful round table and chairs from the mane + masonTMline was front and center and it made me so excited to see more!
The event was a three hour open house with 19 lifestyle vignettes as well as the most delicious food and cocktails. They also had a world renowned chef, Chef John Doherty, who did cooking demonstrations in the event space. Addie was completely enthralled with that! She chatted with him a while about cooking and recipes and even his experience cooking for several U.S. Presidents. We walked around the two level space and each vignette truly felt like a room inside of a home. About halfway through the event, we listened to Kelly Davis and Kristi Ellis with Ashley HomeStore give a mane + masonTM overview. They told us about Ashley HomeStore and about the mane + masonTM line as well as some amazing details about how everything in the event was being donated to charity AND that over the years, Ashley HomeStore has donated 60,000 mattresses to kids in need. Now THAT is a company that I can get behind! Here are several more peeks inside the event AND a full preview of their new line… mane + masonTM!

Ashley furniture is very low quality. We purchased sofa, loveseat, and mattress. Living room pieces sit horribly. Material has balled up. Mattress literally sprung a spring on the first night, and we are average-sized! Not making it up! Had to fight to get our purchase price refunded on the mattress, because surprise! we didn’t want a replacement. I would caution any and all to be very wary of any cost savings provided by buying Ashley. I think IKEA prices are similar, and their furniture is higher quality.

I don’t think I have ever posted on an article but I had to.
I agree with the above commenter. Ashley may give mattresses to charity and that’s nice. But we have purchased from them for the last time. I get that their furniture is cheap, but it should last a few years. It does not. I have a less than year old bedroom set where the bed frame broke and the drawers of the bureaus arent aligned on runners and are lopsided. I have a pub dining set whose chairs have all fallen apart and table legs have come free of the inadequate corner wood/screws holding them together. The dining set sits in my dining room but no one can actually sit at it. I have a couch that is also less than a year old whose fabric has completely pilled-it looks ten years old. And a living room chair that goes with that set whose seats and back are saggy and droopy. Again, less than a year old.
Five years ago I bought all three of my kids bedroom sets at ashley and all of them are no longer in the house aside from one bureau. Same issues-frames break, drawers of bureaus off their runners. We should have learned our lesson.
We’ve now spent at ashley what I calculate to be just over $25k in just under 6 years. We are building a new home now, and it tells you something that every bit of those purchases that are still even upright aren’t going in my new house, and can’t even be donated to charity.
While I agree sometimes the stuff looks nice, it is truly the lowest of quality. And every time we had issues, we contacted Ashley and they gave absolutely zero care and repaired/replaced nothing. Not only that, they were not even remotely friendly.
I would absolutely buy ikea before Ashley. Never, ever again and I truly encourage folks to stay away from Ashley. You will really regret it. I know it’s affordable and tempting, but don’t do it.
