Happy almost Thanksgiving! We are spending the week at our cabin in the North Georgia mountains so I have spent the last week trying my absolute best to get super ahead on blog posts to be able to finally chill out for a few days. Some much needed R & R for us both. Well, that’s after we spend all day Wednesday (today for those of you reading this) working on our “treehouse wonderland“. Demolition is complete, painting is complete and flooring is about halfway finished. Mark will be finishing up flooring, setting cabinets and even helping me set up the master bedroom for a blog reveal later this week! So stay tuned! Eeeeek! I am SO excited for this one. I actually just loaded up lighting boxes for our workday and I am OBSESSED with all of the cool lighting I found. OBSESSED.
Oh and before I continue, just an FYI that there is a HUGE SHOPBOP SALE going on right now!
Once that work day is finished, Thursday will begin our 7th annual “Friendsgiving” in Big Canoe, Georgia with some of our dearest friends. We started this fun tradition back in 2012 right after Winnie was born. Mark’s mom usually works on Thanksgiving and my Dad always goes out of town for the Holidays so we decided to officially start “ditching the family” (well, they theoretically “ditched us” first LOL) for a relaxing week with friends at our cabin. That very first year we didn’t have a cabin in Big Canoe at that time so we used my Dad’s cabin in the same community and we had an absolute blast. Our friends have girlies the same ages as ours so they are always thrilled to spend the Holiday together. Plus, their elves all arrive on Friday morning so they even get to hang out together for a few days too! Oh those darn elves. Not terribly excited about starting that all over again. LOL.
Today I am sharing a peek inside Addison’s Christmasy bedroom as well as her TOP 20 favorite books! My sweet little ten year old bookworm LOVES to read. Like OBSESSED actually. Every year she surpasses her school’s AR reading goal by about the second month of the school year. I have honestly gotten to the point where it’s hard for me to even find a book to buy her that she hasn’t read! I have gotten lots of messages on Instagram over the last year or so asking me to post some of her favorites so today is the day! And let me tell you, Addie was soooo excited about this post! You can even tell by her big ole’ smile in these pictures. Makes my heart so happy. Here is her full list of faves as well as a peek inside her bedroom all decked out for Christmas!
