I love this post. The three people I love most with a little dose of our home life and a big dose of fashion. Which I love of course! For as long as I can remember, I have dressed the hubs. Every now and then he does a little shopping haul himself but that almost always consists only of nice shoes, t-shirts which he does NOT need and workout attire. He always likes to dress nice to work but never seems to get the chance or the motivation to shop for cute stuff himself. I guess that’s where it comes in handy to have a wife that doubles as a fashion blogger 😉
When Nordstrom reached out to team up once again on Men’s Fashion I jumped at the chance to get Mark looking swanky for work. With Fall & Winter fast approaching, I wanted to surprise him with a new collared shirt, nice fitting dress pants AND a new work bag! Ugh I sure hope it’s about to start cooling down. We are dying of humidity here in Georgia! Still! So back to the man bag… Mark has been using the SAME dingy old “briefcase” thing literally since high school y’all. HIGH. SCHOOL. And we aren’t spring chickens either! He “made me” throw away my cozy old sweatpants that had stretched out in all the wrong places several months ago so now it was my turn to trade in the tacky for the new and stylish!
Every time I am shopping Nordstrom for Mark, I always find myself searching for all things Ted Baker. I always love the fit on him and they have the best colors and styles and prints. I fell in love with this idea of doing a monochromatic outfit with shades of vintage blue. I first found these pants mainly because I LOVED the “Blue Vintage” color but then I saw the “Wrinkle Free” part and I was sold! And actually Mark said they’re his new faves! We were shooting this post over the weekend and he said that he wanted to get online, well he wanted me to get online, and order several more colors because he said the comfort and fit are PERFECT! I think I am going to snag him the Castlerock and Navy Iris too! Last but not least, the bag!!! I LOVED the two-tone brown and black look of this leather bag and it looked like the perfect size for his laptop and folders and mail and all of the other junk he tends to fill his briefcase with 😉 Oh and these shoes… they were actually part of a Men’s Fashion post I did LAST YEAR and he still wears them all the time! They have held up amazing and I love the look!
Here’s a peek at Mark’s new work outfit AND the girlies greeting him as they always do when they hear his truck pull into the driveway…
