I am headed to New York City!!! Sooo dang excited! For the third year in a row, I have had the honor of being named a Stylemaker for Better Homes & Gardens. A serious pinch me moment every single time. I fly out first thing in the morning and get to hang out with soooo many wonderful and super talented women. Some of which just so happen to also be my blogger besties. Girls that I have grown SOO close to over the last couple of years. Girls that build each other up, give each other pointers and help one another grow their businesses. A rarity these days and something that I treasure oh so much. The event is always mega inspiring and gives me a huge motivation re-boost. Sometimes being self-employed can drain your self-discipline after a while so being around such creative people is always wonderful. Mark always says that I come home from events ready to take on the world! It also doesn’t hurt that I LOVE New York City! So now I need help finding the perfect Fall evening dress for my trip to NYC!
Every year the excitement is through the roof but the “what to wear” dilemma is serious business. LOL. I am currently packing and feeling the need once again to throw 55 Fall evening dresses into my suitcase to then decide on just ONE the day of the event. Thank goodness Mark is joining me this time so he can give me his brutal honesty. I taught him years ago that I want the truth. Not the “oh honey you look great in everything”. I want the cold hard truth. And after years and years and years, he FINALLY gives it to me. And I only backhand him every once in a while 😉
SO I need your help! I found quite a few that I love for the day of the event and also several more for other things we are attending in NYC as well. I would forever love you if you would just leave me your thoughts and your faves in the comments below! I always think of you guys as my virtual besties and this is just what besties do!
Finding the Perfect Fall Evening Dress…
For this post, I have once again partnered with my favorite store on Earth… Nordstrom. They allow me, and EVERYONE, to order what we think we love and return everything that isn’t as fabulous in person. I never pay for shipping and I ship things back for free as well! Which is exactly what I plan to do with the one or two Fall evening dresses I do not end up wearing over the course of the week. I popped over to their dress section and ordered quite a few that I loved. So here are the five I tried on yesterday and thoughts on sizing for those who love them as well! Oh AND yesterday I posted all about men’s clothing and an outfit that Mark will be packing for NYC as well! For me, this dress below was a top pick for the event! It runs small so I sized up to a medium and was glad I did. It fits GREAT and I love the color! It also comes in several other colors as well!

This blue off the shoulder dress is a maybe for me. I LOVE the color and the fit and pretty much everything except I am not sure if the sleeves would drive me crazy or not. It is beautiful in person though! And it has a corset type fit at the top so it definitely doesn’t feel like it would slide down.

This black dress is exactly why I should never wait until the last minute to order things. I LOVE it but it is too big. I wish I had sized down!!! The cute collar and sleeve details are SO cute!

If you remember our trip to the Bahamas over the Summer, you may remember this romper dress in blue. I. LOVE. IT!!! I had to snag this new color and I am equally obsessed with it! It is hard to tell in these images but it has a short romper underneath with a cute lace sheer cover over it. Super cute!!! It does run true to size. Mine is a small.

Apparently I love blush and coral lace rompers because here is another one! Which I also LOVE! I love that it is feminine but not too showy. The color and lace details are gorgeous! It also runs true to size.
