To really get a feel for everything, let's start with where we began.
When we bought this apartment, it was in the midst of a huge renovation! Our 17th century building was in major need of some repairs including the 200 year old terracotta roof!

What started as a daydream came full circle in the fall of 2023 when we closed on this cozy apartment. To be honest, I can’t even pinpoint where it began but I have always wanted to live abroad for a small portion of the year. The girls and I stumbled upon this magical city during one of our summer adventures in 2019 and I was immediately swooned. Fast forward to the summer of 2021, when John joined us abroad, and his mutual love for the city sealed the deal for me!

I fell in love with this beautiful mural and built the design for the kitchen from there. I knew I wanted to do a deep purple for the cabinets so we mixed our own with paints that we found at a local paint store. From there, we have done a lot of layering with local finds and fun little antiques!

This apartment is a total of 350 square feet so she is TINY!! The breakfast room sits right beside the living room and we still have so so much we want to do to the spaces! Currently, we are slowly adding to what will be the gallery wall over the couch and the breakfast table!

We are currently in the process of what I call “un-renovating” the apartment. What I mean by that is that we are trying to bring back some of the charm that was a little bit lost during the renovation process! All of that to say, this little room is still under a little bit of reno!
