Good morning from France! I miss you guys! I had this crazy plan to blog three times a week while I was gone BUT that sure hasn’t happened. I actually have a lot of posts lined up and ready to go without an intro but finding the time to even do that has been impossible. We have been going going going and truly having the best time. We are currently on a EuroTrain headed from Marne-la-Vallee (Disneyland Paris) to the second biggest city in France called Lyon. The next several weeks we will be “living” in the French Riviera so Lyon was kind of our half way point to see another city and pick up a rental car. Driving around anywhere near Paris sounded quite stressful so I chose to make a little pit stop in Lyon to pick up a car for the rest of our French journey.
We are officially one week in to our Summer adventure and so far everything has been perfect! I always like to use the word “adventure” rather than vacation for these trips. I personally prefer an adventure. Seeing new places, trying new things and finding myself a bit challenged is always what fills my cup. I have such an appreciation for culture and I always find myself craving the centuries and centuries of culture found in other places that I feel we tend to lack in the States. The little things that we forget to appreciate in our fast paced world. These adventures always remind me to create new traditions and to make more time for the little things. I cannot WAIT to do a huge post on our travels and links to where we stayed as well as travel tips galore. And I PROMISE those will be coming soon!
In the meantime, today I am sharing another reveal inside “Our Wilderness Wonderland“! One of the very last spaces I will be sharing in our cabin and a space that turned out so cute! The design of this space started with my selection of Shaw Floors’ Geoscape Dark Gray Subway Tile. I wanted to do a tile wall in this bathroom and I loved the color of this particular tile. From there I decided to go white with everything else from the Shaw Floors’ Elegance Penny Tile in White on the floor to the Super White paint on the walls and cabinets. I always like to to leave a little visual room for my big pops of color and pattern. I wasn’t sure at first what I wanted to use in this space until we ended up with extra wallpaper from the guest bedroom right next to this bathroom. And voila! Decision made. Free and the perfect pop of WOW! Here’s a peek at the space BEFORE and now TODAY!
