Happy Happy Happy Mondayyyyy! Is it just me or does Monday sound way more doable with only two weeks left of school??? Well for my kiddos at least, next Friday is their last day and I could literally sing it from the hilltops… “No more waking Winnie up early! YAYYYYYYY!!!” That kid y’all. This morning I told her to wake up about sixty five times and then she finally rolled herself onto the floor and fell back asleep sitting up with her head against the mattress. I came back in and told her to wake up and she responded with…” I am up! My body doesn’t move if I am asleep and it moved to the floor already!!!” Nine more wake-ups. Let’s hope I survive.
Today I am sooo excited to be back sharing another reveal inside “Our Wilderness Wonderland“… the guest bedroom! Well, one of three guest bedrooms in our cabin. I revealed our master bedroom a month or so ago so now we are on to number two! Mark and I and the girlies spent the weekend at our cabin knocking several more things off of our list. We keep thinking we are done but then remember like ten more things that we need to get it rental ready. We have a crew headed up tomorrow to replace some rotten wood on the deck and then paint the entire exterior and then it will FINALLY BE READY TO RENT! Woohoo! Make sure and sign up for my newsletter! The rental link will be sent to all of my blog subscribers very very soon!
For this bedroom I had the wonderful opportunity to showcase products from THREE companies that I love for the completion of this space… Shaw Floors, Hygge & West and Lavendar Fields. First, let’s chat flooring! Excuse me while I rave for the hundreth time about Shaw Floors and all of their gorgeous flooring. But seriously though. They truly have THE BEST selections, THE BEST customer service and THE BEST quality flooring of anyone. Ever. Every single product we have in our home has held up absolutely perfectly in our 1905 home which says A LOT given our crazy subfloors PLUS so far so good in our cabin as well! Every great design starts with a great foundation and flooring is of course a great place to start! For all of the bedrooms in our basement, I chose their Classico Plank Vinyl in Colori and it is beautiful! It’s the perfect choice for a basement because it is vinyl and can withstand moisture but it also looks and feels sooo much like real hardwoods!
Next up, wallpaper! For this space I chose Hygge & West’s Peonies Mint wallpaper. I literally have this mental bucket list of products and wallpaper and paint colors and crazy ideas that I want to include in a design one of these days and this wallpaper has been on my list for quite some time. I felt like a bold black against the gorgeous shade of green would be striking so I painted the headboards from Winnie’s last bedroom Pitch Black by Farrow & Ball and I LOVE the result! As you may know, I have used lots of Hygge & West papers in my design work and this just might be one of my new faves!
Finally, bedding. I am kind of a freak for cute bedding. Since the wallpaper is so bold I needed something simple but elegant. I fell in LOVE with these gorgeous white duvet covers from Lavender Fields with frayed ruffles and velvet trim. I now love them even more in person too! I finished it all off with these cute burlap bedskirts, an awesome HomeGoods desk find and one of my very favorite rattan chairs! Here’s a peek at the room when we first purchased the home and now TODAY! Keep on scrolling to the very bottom of this post for every last room detail PLUS shopping links to everything in this space!
