Let the Shopping Begin…

This is a week of firsts… 1) For the first time in the history of me, I have started Holiday shopping BEFORE Thanksgiving. Yes, I had a wee bit of a freak out moment earlier this week and decided that shopping pre-moving day sounded waaaay more sane than post-moving day. 2) Let’s just say that we are moving in 3.5 weeks, I have not bought a stitch of furniture and I am okay with that. Don’t forget that we left our last home with a whopping five items (furniture pieces) after it was sold furnished. And given that I am an OCD planner, as well as an I want everything done yesterday-er, that is huge for me. For once in my life I am determined to enjoy the ride. 3) I am finally officially adding “fashion blogging” to Addison’s Wonderland. Yes, I have done it here and there and have said I was going to start forever and a day ago but today is finally the day. As I mentioned in “My Journey to Today“, my love for design began long ago with fashion. I entered college as a fashion major and just knew that I would one day be designing in the Big Apple like I had always dreamed. That was until I discovered interior design. With only 8 more Saturdays until Christmas morning, there is a lot to do in a little time. From kids to husbands to aunts and moms, the lists are loooong. Oh and let’s not forget teachers, friends, party hostesses and even the neighbors! So today I am sharing my faves in the Gifts for Her department at Nordstrom. So let’s chat about this outfit. I think if I were to choose a season, it would be Fall… and then an outfit to wear every single day, it would be this one. I initially ordered this cardigan because I loved the length and the color. And then when it arrived, all of that went out the window when I felt how SOFT it was! Literally wearing it right now as I type this post. AddieBelle keeps walking over and petting me. And I don’t know about you but one reason I look forward to cooler weather is leggings. Glorified yoga pants. And these leggings fit AMAZING! Did I mention they are under $20?!? Fitted and slim enough to pair with everything from long sweaters to dresses but still super cozy. Next up, the cami! I had literally been wearing this amazing white one almost daily until I found these lace camisoles! I love feminine details and these slay! Seriously obsessed with every color. If you scroll on down you can see my bangle close up. It is Winnie’s birthstone and such a perfect gift for anyone! Moving right along, I LOVE THIS TOTE. The perfect size to fit absolutely anything without feeling like you are toting around a suitcase. Finally, who can go wrong with Hunter Boots?!? This color is my favorite they have ever come out with. Colored yet still feels like a neutral that you could pair with almost anything!
