Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful post-Valentine’s Day weekend. I feel like everyone seems to have a “love it” or “whatever” relationship with the “Hallmark Holiday”. We tend to be on the “whatever” side of things. We rarely get each other gifts and don’t usually do the romantic dinner out kind of thing. However, we do have a little tradition that just so happens to fall on Valentine’s Day weekend every year when we plan a little getaway with several other couple friends. It started four years ago and just kind of stuck. This year we didn’t go too far from home and rented an airbnb in Athens which is the cutest “little” college town where the University of Georgia is located about 30 minutes from our home. It is mine and Mark’s alma mater so we love spending time there plus there are soooo many fun places and amazing restaurants.
Today I am just sitting here doing a little daydreaming. ONE… wishing we had the time and an open weekend to finish up the last few things in “Our Treehouse Wonderland” and TWO… drooling over the idea of installing VELUX No Leak Solar Powered Fresh Air Skylights in our little mountain home away from home. For my little weekend daydreaming, I created a mood board to envision our “Treehouse Wonderland” living room with VELUX and I am OBSESSED. Mood boards are such a fun way to envision a completed space and to play around with multiple design ideas. I always encourage those asking for design advice to do the same.
