John’s Pullover / Pants / Shoes
Good evening… I mean morning… sitting here this Wednesday evening in bed in my pj’s with a heating pad on my kidney stones (ugggghhhhhhh) writing this post. You won’t be reading this until tomorrow but we just got home from taking Addie to the airport and my mama heart is soooooo happy and soooooo sad all at once. Going to miss her infectious laugh, huge hugs and random fact sharing. The wittiest and most intelligent sixteen year old I know! No mama bias of course 😉
As you may have seen on my stories, my “baby” flew to France tonight to live and study in a town about an hour outside of Paris for the month of January. Her school has the most amazing foreign language program and she is taking part in this experience for the second time. Last January she did the same and then her student will once again live with us for the month of February. We are blessed to have the same sweet, adorable student, Caroline, we had last year which means Addie also gets to live with the same family. Gosh what I would have given to have had this same opportunity any of the many years I studied French! Once she lands, she will meet up with the family and then they will be driving six hours to the French Alps town of Chamonix where they’re spending the weekend in her family’s cabin there. And it is supposed to snow all weekend! How magical is that?!?
Today I am sharing the little bit that John and I completed before taking Addie to the airport this afternoon… assembling the main bedroom bed! I purchased the prettiest, super affordable dark wood rattan bed a month or so ago and we finally got around to putting it together to start wrapping up this room. John had already installed the chandy and roman shades (custom made) a few weeks back so now it’s time for the finishing touches. I had purchased this white ruffle bedding for Winnie’s room and loved it so much I decided it would be perfect for this space as well. Here’s a peek back at what this space looked like when we first purchased Wonderland Cottage… of course before the gut renovations… and then sharing the progress we’ve made up to today!
