Sixteen years, two kiddos and a business or two later, there isn’t too terribly much I would change about our marriage. Mark and I got married super crazy young like you may have read about in previous posts and even started dating even crazier young. Let’s just say that we started dating way before we could even get our learner’s license and then we got married before we could legally purchase a bottle of wine. Young and in love and totally nuts but it has worked. Somehow and in some way we have made our unique love story last. We have had some crazy ups and some even crazier downs but we still manage to call each other husband and wife ;-). Now let’s chat about the Pottery Barn wedding registry!
Let’s just say for a second though that we could go back. Waaaaay back and change some things. I have to say that the designer in me might just start with our wedding registry. Okay okay don’t worry, I am totally kidding but I DID register for pink floral dishes. Looking back I can honestly say that we do not have one single thing today that we received back then. Y’all know me well by now and you can probably make a correct assumption that I registered for some rather colorful things. Things that did not in fact stand the test of time.
Of course I would never in a million years change my love for color and pattern but what I HAVE learned is that it is great in doses and it is even more fabulous mixed with timeless, classic pieces. Although everything comes and goes out of style, there are certainly things that stand the test of time. In my opinion, Pottery Barn is a top destination for all things classic and timeless. From marble to leather and neutrals galore, I cannot think of a better place to create a super dreamy wedding registry than Pottery Barn. Pottery Barn is committed to quality and takes pride in their timeless designs, premium materials and expert craftsmanship. All in all it is the perfect place to select items that you will carry with you from home to home and along life’s journey.
Pottery Barn gave Mark and I the opportunity to select some items from their list of registry faves and we were both like kids in a candy store. As you have probably seen lots on my social media, Mark has become resident chef here in our home and he loves all of the entertaining gadgets. We even do date nights at home quite often as well so he chose the Marble Glass Domed Cheeseboard and the Marble Wine Cooler. An anniversary trip to Napa several years ago got us hooked on wine and cheese nights so those will be well loved in our home! For me, it was all about creating a beautiful kitchen and dining space so I chose an Aegean Clear Glass Vase, three Faux Green Petal Leaf Branches, and two sizes in the Arlington Lantern. All together these items make the perfect arrangement for a romantic date night at home. Now that school has started back and bedtimes have gone back to normal, we sometimes get the kiddos in bed and have dinner alone in the early evening. It sure beats paying a sitter! Here is a peek at our Pottery Barn registry faves and a look into our date nights at home…
