Our twinkling trees are back up once again! Hehe… I know it’s a wee bit early but not going to lie… it feels GOOD to be getting ahead this year! We are usually early decorating but this year we are EARLYYYY for several reasons. One, we are out of town on our Girl’s Greece trip and our France “Move-In” trip until late October and then I will be playing catch up for quite a few weeks. Two, getting an early start on Holiday content sounds amazing. And three, I want to be done with EVERYTHING super early this year so I can truly enjoy the busiest time of year personally and professionally!
As I have shared here and there over the years, I have raised my girls (mostly) technology free and I wouldn’t change a thing. I say (mostly) because Addison got a phone when she turned thirteen and I plan to do the same for Winnie. Addison just got internet (safari) on her phone over the Summer (she is now 15) and she still doesn’t have social media at all. And I have absolutely zero regrets!!! I TRULY feel as though Addie has such good study habits and work ethic, focus and attention span as well as creative talents from her time spent without devices.
So what do they do during all that free time? PLAY!!! Yep, from arts and crafts, to reading books, playing with dolls and Barbies, building Lego creations and us all playing board games as a family, there is no shortage of fun being had at our home WITHOUT a screen.
