Pondering New Engineered Waterproof Flooring in Our “Great Gatsby” Kitchen…

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dream Weaver for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Happy Almost Spring!!! You guys… this weather (insert raised hands emoji). I cannot get enough of it. Literally makes me want to do all the things.  From Spring cleaning to buying front porch plants to doing fun projects with the kiddos. I feel like it gives me a burst of energy and a renewed sense of motivation. Dramatic I know. The sunshine just does it to me! Seriously!

Last month our kitchen was featured in Beautiful Kitchens and Bath’s magazine and was coined “The Great Gatsby” kitchen in the article. Literally my absolute favorite design comparison to date. As most of you probably know or may remember, our home was built in 1905. Almost one hundred and fifteen years ago now. When we purchased our home, every square inch was completely gutted down to the studs with zero ductwork run, zero electrical run and zero plumbing stubbed. It was a literal shell of a home. Although bypassing the demolition stage of renovations was amazing, we were left with very very little in terms of original 115 year old touches. Besides the amazingly funky floor plan which I actually love and the exterior design, the only original features remaining inside were the fireplaces, pocket doors between the living room and kitchen as well as hardwoods in the foyer, living room, dining room, hallway and kitchen. Other than those few things, we redid absolutely EVERYYYYYTHING in our home. Every. Single. Thing.

Fast forward three years after completing our renovation and some of those very things we tried so hard to keep in tact are the very things that we are now pondering replacing. One such thing is our hardwoods. Ugh. Literally makes me sick to even think about. But to be honest, it is however exciting to think about the possibilities design wise in selecting new flooring.

The flooring we are considering for our kitchen is TRIUMPH. TRIUMPH offers the most comprehensive collection of engineered, waterproof flooring with a high-density, rigid core. The product’s core has been carefully engineered to provide superior indentation resistance, dimensional stability, with a ceramic bead coating that gives it excellent scratch resistance. The collection’s price point options ranges from opening price points to high-end luxury. TRIUMPH is the perfect choice for active families, with pets, in open floor plans with lots of natural light. TRIUMPH is available in a wide range of sizes — including 6”x48”, 7”x48”, 9”x72” and multi-width and multi-length planks — as well as a variety of on-trend colors and realistic wood visuals. It’s high dimensional stability also makes it perfect for seasonal or vacation homes, meaning extreme temperatures will not affect the planks. They also carry carpet too! Their Dream Weaver carpet is stain resistant and pet/kid friendly. You can even treat spills with diluted bleach without harming the carpet!

Last weekend my girlies wanted to make cupcakes so I thought it would be the PERFECT opportunity to take some cute pictures of them while also using their visualizer to decide which flooring option works best for the space. EF-EYE Visualizer allows consumers to see carpet or hard surface product in their home before making the purchase or having it installed. Using AR technology, a consumer can go on the Dream Weaver or Engineered Floors Hard Surfaces website, take a picture of their space, and drop any product into the picture of their home. Here is a peek at several options inside our kitchen. You guys will have to let me know which option is your FAVE!

Brittany, that is so neat and I’m totally going to try it on my house! In yours I love the riverwood, I think the color is timeless and it looks beautiful in your kitchen.

The Breckenridge is my personal favorite for your house. It goes well with the gold accents in your kitchen.

I’m sure anything you chose will look perfect! My favorite is Bay of Plenty because the colors seem to be the closest to your original flooring.

I’m so glad to learn about the visualizer tool. We need to replace our old Southern pine floors due to a slow leak from the water heater. I’m having trouble deciding which direction to go. I vote for the Bay of Plenty floors for your beautiful kitchen.
