Good morningggggg!!! Umm let me just say that you all ROCK! I had so much fun answering all of your questions on IG Stories yesterday. I try so so hard to keep up with messages and comments but I always seem to fall behind so it was nice to spend a little time answering questions directly on Stories. I may do the same here on the blog one day too!
I literally have sooo many room reveals just sitting on my blog unscheduled that I planned to share during our Summer in Europe but you know how that goes. My motivation to post got lost somewhere on the flight over and I never ever seemed to find it. LOL. But now I am back and honestly more motivated than ever before! Not sure why but I guess maybe the long break was just what I needed. After four years of blogging, you kind of hit a mental roadblock and I think I did that without even realizing it!
One of the first things I plan to fully check off of my list in the immediate future is sharing the rest of the “Our Wilderness Wonderland” reveals. I only have a few more to go but todays is honestly one of my faves in the whole cabin! It was such a dark and gloomy bathroom when we first purchased the cabin that it took some thinking and planning to make some big changes in this very small space.
Everyone always asks me where I begin my design plans so I will take you along for the ride on this one… The very first thing I chose for this space was this Geoscape 3 x 6 Tile in Black from Shaw Floors. I saw it and immediately fell in love! I loved the idea of creating a dramatic WOW statement on the back wall which really needed something given all of the wall damage from the beadboard and everything else we took down in the demo phase. From there, I knew I wanted to keep everything else light and bright since it’s so small and dark so I chose a white floor tile and then this black/white wallpaper in one of my very favorite patterns to tie it all together! This is the third time I have used this paper which I NEVER do but I just love it so so much! It captures that fun, whimsical side of my design personality so so well. And then no Addison’s Wonderland room is EVER complete without a good pop of color so I chose this rug to complete space. Kind of crazy but this is probably one of the first pops of red I have ever put into one of my spaces! Not usually a fan but love this rug!
