I seriously bet you can’t say that title five times really fast… You have to admit that you at least tried saying it in your head. About three years ago, I purchased the Hampton Tilt-Out Hamper in a dark wood finish for our master bedroom. I think I secretly hoped that the placement right outside of my husband’s closet with easy tilt-out access would make putting away dirty clothes absolutely irresistible. Don’t get too excited, it turns out this hamper does not in fact have magical “hubby do laundry” powers.
BEFORE
So, in the Spring 2012 when I started designing my daughter Winter’s nursery, I decided this would make the perfect piece for her room. It’s great for the mounds of baby laundry and the perfect size for the small angled wall in her bedroom. Since her room was a canvas of whites and pastels, I thought the dark wood color would be too harsh against her bright pinks walls. Instead I found the absolute perfect aqua paint color…
ROBIN’S NEST by Benjamin Moore
I adore this color. It’s the perfect shade of aqua with the magic amount of green undertones that keeps the color from reading too baby blue. With my husband’s mad spraying skills, he got to work re-painting the piece. I then found these amazing pink glass knobs for that splash of “girlieness” and fun.

Tada…
AFTER
This finished piece also made a cameo in quite a few Addison’s Wonderland bedding shoots as well…
