Happy Tuesday!!! Waking up this morning seriously feeling like we have already landed in Oregon with day five of rain here in Georgia. ALTHOUGH the weather in Portland is looking rather fabulous!!! I have been such a dork refreshing the 15 day forecast for Portland every morning before my feet even hit the floor. I am afraid to even write this and jinx myself but there is 0% chance of rain for the entire first week and a half we are there. All of my fingers and ALL of my toes are crossed that nothing changes. Addison updates me every single night on how many sleeps she has before we leave and how excited she is to “climb the volcano” in Oregon. She learned about Mt. Hood in school this year and her eyes lit up like stars when I told her we were going there our very first weekend of the trip. I think she will be shocked to see that it is a wee bit taller than Stone Mountain in Georgia that we climb in under an hour. And that we will be driving up rather than climbing. AND that there may even still be snow at the very top. Is there Oregon locals? So beyond excited for my girls to see a completely different part of the States and to experience so many new and different adventures.
So while we are talking about Portland, if you are local I am planning a fun little lunch or dinner meet-up for late June. Several of you had suggested the idea and I thought that would be so fun! Today I am sharing a sneak peek of some of my favorite new Summer fashion finds that I have packed for the trip! I stayed home Sunday all by myself while Addie was at church camp and Mark and Winnie were visiting his parents to spend the day packing. Yet then the sunny yet just overcast enough skies ended up being the perfect photography weather so I literally photographed almost our entire home for the blog. Oops. At least I have loads of blog material while I am gone! So yesterday I decided to get a little more focused and narrow down what I bringing. For a month. For weather that ranges from chilly to hot.
