Good morning fam! Happy freaking Friday!
I have been wanting to create a “functional” kitchen for a little while now. I have obsessed over the European style kitchens that are littered with pots and pans, random books, spice jars, plants, you name it, for a while now and I finally had a minute to put it into action in my own way. I am a collector of weird things and antiques thanks to my grand mother, so I wanted to incorporate those items through out the space.
I’ve got to say, I am a little bit giddy about the way everything panned out… It is cozy, functional, eclectic, and a little bit chaotic in all of the ways that I love. I will be sharing a few tips on how to color correct with stain next week on the blog… these floating shelves are made out of a gorgeous piece of mahogany (scrap wood from a job) and they were RED when I got them. So, if you have a piece of furniture, scrap material, or any other future projects in mind, and you are struggling with the right stain stay tuned because I have some great ideas coming for you!
