Good morning!!! Happy Wednesday! And HAPPY WAYDAY! Today I am sharing yet another room reveal inside Winnie’s Woodsy Wonderland… the basement living room! As well as one of the biggest sales of the year… the TWO DAY Wayfair Sale… WayDay! It is one of the BIGGEST SALES OF THE YEAR with UP TO 80% OFF and EVERYTHING SHIPS FREE!
But first… let’s chat all things Camp Wonderland. So, Abigail and I have spent the last two days land shopping for Camp Wonderland. Again. I know, I know… it’s all confusing. I try and share a little bit of everything over on IG stories, probably some of which is a little premature, BUT I love to share what we are up to day to day. Even if that means sharing all of the good, bad and otherwise. Back in August we announced Camp Wonderland and at that time we had a property in mind for our vision. And then as things seem to go with us, our vision grew. So we looked again and fell IN LOOOOVE with another property. A bigger and seemingly “better” one. I made an offer and we went under contract. And then as life goes we then found out that the property was going to have some zoning hiccups and just some hiccups overall regarding our vision for Camp Wonderland. It is all still a possibility with that property BUT it’s risky. And although I do love a good business risk, I decided to take one last look and exhaust all of our other options before taking the big risk. SO, we set out Monday and Tuesday to see all there is to see in North Georgia and even North Carolina that would fit the bill for our “little campground-ish thing”. Once again, we found something AMAZING so now it’s just a decision game. Which one is best. Both have their pros and cons so now I just need to do some thinking and praying and then I’ll let y’all know what I decide!!! Eeeeeek SO EXCITED!
Back to today! Today I am sharing the cabin basement living room reveal AND the HUGE WayDay SALE. Not even four months ago now (can’t even believe it’s only been four months!) we got started on our last project, Winnie’s Woodsy Wonderland. And then one month later it was complete. What a whirlwind of a renovation! It was soooo much fun and makes me soooo excited about Camp Wonderland just thinking back about it. Life just got so busy after we completed it back in August that I haven’t had a chance to finish the reveals.
The basement living room in the cabin was such a fun space to design. I wanted the upstairs to be bright and airy but in my design mind, the sky was the limit with the basement. I had pondered over paint colors forever and ever and had landed on this color duo of Sherwin Williams Secret Garden and Oakmoss. I knew I wanted a fun color for the upstairs doors in the cabin like I always love to do when I design a home and for the cabin, green it was. I looked at greens over and over and over and ended up deciding to mix Secret Garden and Oakmoss. They were both on the same paint card but one just seemed a tad light and one a tad dark. For some reason I always end up mixing colors. After deciding on this color for the upstairs doors, I ended up deciding to just carry it down the stairs and into the basement. I loved the idea of having the back stair wall on the main level pop against the white walls. From there I found some beautiful pieces to pop against the dark green walls including a gorgeous Restoration Hardware daybed with rope pulls that I found at the local outlet AND two fun pieces from Wayfair! This sheepskin area rug and lucite coffee table. The perfect finishing touches for this space. Both add style and warmth but neither take away from the beautiful daybed, artwork or rich wall color.
Sharing a peek at the space “BEFORE” and TODAY along with my favorites from the WayDay SALE! One of the BIGGEST SALES OF THE YEAR with UP TO 80% OFF and EVERYTHING SHIPS FREE!
