Happy Tuesday!!! 15 Days Until Christmas!!! WHAT?!? Happy to report though that for the first year basically ever I am READY. Gifts are purchased and the house is decorated and all the things. I do have Abigail to thank for that… and several blog collaborations and a local Holiday home tour that put my booty into gear mega early this year. I feel like although the house has been decorated and the shopping has been done for a bit now, the Christmas spirit hasn’t fully hit until last weekend. Given the year that I’ve had, the Holidays haven’t felt like the Holidays just yet. All of the newness and change have made life just feel different. Then last Thursday night Winnie twirled with her majorette squad in our local downtown Christmas parade and it started to truly feel like the magical time of year that I love so much. The wonderful new man in my life joined in the festivities which made it feel extra special. Slowly throwing him into the craziness of our busy lives and small town life (AKA knowing 55 people everywhere I take him) has been so fun. He is so so so sweet and such a trooper meeting ALL the people ALL the time. The following morning was the Senior/1st Grader Christmas tree presentation at Winnie’s school which is THE MOST AMAZING event ever. Truly. Like people literally cry every year it’s so fabulous. Both of my girls attend a local private school here in our small town and they have a tradition that has been around for decades where they pair up 1-2 seniors with a 1st grader for a year of fun and festivities. The Christmas Tree presentation is always the biggest event where the senior(s) presents their 1st grader with a small tree they’ve designed specifically for them around their personalities and interests. The tree now sits on Winnie’s dresser and it is her little pride and joy. She shows everyone who walks into our front door. Then that evening Winnie was the most adorable little “hop hop mouse” in the Grinch parade at school. Cutest little dancer EVERRRR of course! Then came the weekend which was basically one big revolving front door of friends and family between Addie’s 12th birthday dinner and her sleepover and everything else we had going on. My sweet man got to experience all of the family stuff as well as the high pitched sequels and late night giggles of girl mom life. With five tweenagers plus Winnie. It was a REALLY loud but REALLY fun one to say the least. The girls stayed up until 6:30am!!!!!!! Epic mom fail. They had me totally fooled into thinking they had gone to bed. Addie had an absolute BLAST though to say the least. Oh and for those who follow me on IG stories, the Giordano’s pizza I had shipped from Chicago turned out to be AMAZINGGGG!!!! Literally just as good as it was fresh at their restaurant when Addie and I ate there in October!
Today I teamed up with World Market to share a peek inside my girls’ playroom/living room all decked out for the Holidays! Every year World Market has THE CUTEST Holiday decor! I have gotten so so much over the years that my home is chock full of it all! I snagged quite a few new pieces this year from the adorable fir tree throw pillow to the pom pom Christmas stockings and gorgeous pine and snowball garland. I genuinely loooooooove shopping World Market. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. They are one of my top shopping destinations since they carry so much fun and colorful furnishings and decor. I also love that so much of what they carry has so much texture!!! Color and texture is my THINGS in design. Here is a peek at their playroom/living space as well as links to everything from World Market you see!
