It is almost SUMMERRRRR!!! We seriously had the absolute weirdest Winter ever. It was warm-ish until about March and then it just randomly decided to be Winter for a month or so. Winter then abruptly ended, pollen came raging in like a sandstorm and now it is 90 degrees. Spring please come BAAAACK!!!! Well, just come at all PLEASE! I would like to enjoy our porches and decks for at least one weekend. Thank you.
With mere days left until we leave for the Summer, my to-do list seems to be mounting rather than dwindling. I am however sooooo excited to finally be COMPLETING so many things we have been working so hard on over the last several months. “Our Wilderness Wonderland” is pretty much just some hangers and toilet paper and welcome notebook away from completion. It HAS however already hit the rental market with rental dates starting in June so make sure and check it out! Also, our garage apartment is about at that same point of completion however we did find a more “long term” renter for the Summer which is SUPER FABULOUS so it will be opening up for renters at a later date! And finally, “Our Highland House” is getting sooo close to the fun part. The inside is about to be trimmed out and the outside has been painted. You guys are going to freak when you see what I chose! TOTALLY different than what I posted. I went with my gut and I LOOOOVE it.
Today I have teamed up with World Market for my monthly makeover with their GORGEOUS selection of products! I became a wee bit obsessed with World Market quite a few years ago before I was even a blogger. I love how often they change things up and add new products. Plus of course their lines always fit in so perfectly with my colorful and eclectic style. I pretty much never ever leave empty handed. Whether I need a piece of furniture or a small accessory, I always seem to find something unique and fabulous. And this time around it was all about their outdoor dining, outdoor decor and outdoor lighting!
With Summer basically here, I decided to FINALLY tackle our back deck! I shared the herb wall we created in this space last Fall but it has otherwise remained empty since we completed our home a year and a half ago. I found the CUTEST black and white bistro chairs that are SUCH a great deal in World Market’s outdoor furniture/decor section. I love the bright black/white against our dark blue/gray siding. They really POP! From there I snagged this beautiful macrame table runner for that fun boho vibe and a little color as well as these darling rattan candleholders. Perfect for outdoor or indoor table decor! I added some wood chargers and plates and copper stemmed glasses and the dining space was officially complete! Here’s a peek at our home before we added the deck and began construction and then a peek at it TODAY!
