Happy almost FALL! Aaaaaand it is LITERALLY still 97 degrees outside. LITERALLY. Georgia hit a 119 year old record yesterday with mid-September highs in the upper 90’s. I. AM. OVER. IT. Last weekend the girlies and I headed up to North Georgia to spend a few days enjoying a slight drop in temps. The north Georgia mountains usually give about a ten degree drop from Atlanta which is always FABULOUS! We stayed at my Dad’s cabin in the same community where we owned our two former cabins. It is soooo beautiful up there!!! Hoping to one day tackle my very own renovation turned funky and fun airBnb cabin. Maybe one day veeeeeery soon… 😉
Today I have partnered with eBay for a HUGE backyard overhaul! A year or so ago now, we had a fire pit installed in our backyard and we threw a few Adirondack chairs around it and called it a day. And it has been great! Except that for whatever reason we never used it too much and two of the chairs decided to completely cave in on themselves. SO with Fall fast approaching, I HOPE, I wanted to get this space ready for all of the Fall evening plans I have from wine nights to roasting marshmallows and late night chats with friends. I found these GORGEOUS Outdoor Club Chairs and the look kind of took off from there. I’ve always wanted a whimsical yard full of string lighting and layers upon layers of plants so I have been slowly adding more and more to the backyard. And I LOVE IT! It feels so incredibly magical all lit up at night. Abigail actually moved into my garage apartment last weekend so it’s been so fun for her and her boyfriend and myself and my new “someone” to hang out from time to time. Once I finished photographing the space last night we all sat around and chatted over wine. Those are the kinds of nights that refresh my soul! Here is a peek at the completed space…
