Happy Monday!!! Hope y’all had a wonderful Fall weekend! My gosh it was soooooo unbelievably gorgeous here in Georgia over the weekend. Not a cloud in the sky and temps in the 60’s and 70’s all weekend long. As I shared on social media Friday, John and I both did not have our kiddos so we decided to relax and do absolutely nothing. And it was FABULOUS! We did manage to do a little shopping at the Avalon in Alpharetta along with some drink & app hopping which is forever our favorite day date. I think we had a drink and ate a little something about every two hours. LOL. From Superica which is my Mexican fave to Cafe Intermezzo which has the BEST desserts EVERRRRR!!! I just might have also snagged a few Christmas decorations at Anthropologie while I was at it too. Two of these stockings and several of these ornaments for the girl’s trees. And I may have even decided to start decorating for Christmas like this week. I can’t help it! Between the “stress” of having the whole house shot for a publication’s Holiday issue first of December and just the excitement of having something to make 2020 a little less miserable, LOL, I want to drag all of the trees out TODAY! Well, maybe not today 😉
Today I am FINALLY sharing the third and final bedroom reveal inside “Winnie’s Woodsy Wonderland” though along with a peek at the installation of the MOST GORGEOUS black velvet wall panel headboard. For this space, I had the opportunity to work with Vant Panels (I actually reached out to them!) and I am soooooo in love with how it all turned out.
In designing this space, I started with a fresh coat of paint on the walls. I chose Pure White by Sherwin Williams for a light, bright, fresh look in this previously dark and dingy-ish space. Next, I reached out to Vant Panels. I had this look in mind of a huge modern velvet bed panel and had remembered seeing their products several months prior. I chose the Elizabeth Layout in Black Velvet and they shipped it out almost immediately. It came in four boxes and was fairly simple to install! More on that in a bit. Next I did a little online perusing at several of my go-to online stores and found this BEAUTIFUL RUG!!! It served as my inspiration piece for the rest of the room design as I found more and more beautiful pieces to complete the look from this chandelier to this tassel throw blanket.
As far as installing the panels, the process was fairly simple overall. First you’ll want to mark the center of where you want the bed to be placed as well as where you’d like the very top and bottom of the entire headboard to fall. Next, measure how far in the metal slats are from the edge of the velvet panel and mark the wall accordingly along each side of the center point. Then attach each metal slat and slide the panels into place.
Here is a peek at the space before as well as the installation process and the final reveal!
