AB Tuesday Update

Hey guys, happy Tuesday! I was super excited to share an update on the house this week buuuut turns out framing doesn’t photograph very well. I guess when you can still see the back of the house from the front of the house through a bunch of 2X4s it is a little hard to visualize. Good news is that we are DONE with framing and I will be meeting the plumber & electrician today! Have I mentioned how thankful I am. I feel like I am in one of those seasons where no matter how hard I try to run from it, the Lord is reminding me that his goodness always surfaces over all of the junk. Maybe my word for this year is rebuilding… which as I typed that I realized just how ironic it was (considering this is another house update) which incidentally made it corny. Whatever I’m sticking with it.

I was chatting with a friend the other night about those moments where you look in the mirror and you don’t recognize yourself. It’s almost as if you have been so disconnected from who you are for so long that you end up brushing your teeth one morning and have a full panic moment with the classic “how did I get here” realization.

I have a feeling that there are lots of people who can relate to me on this after the last year. It was one full of constant touch and go, taking one step forward and fifteen steps back, holding on for dear life, and waiting for the other shoe to drop. When things are spinning around you it is so easy to ignore all of the internal things. This works for a while, you can keep running and shutting the hard things out for a WHILE. Until all of a sudden, things slow down and you hit the wall of reality head on.

I think I have pretty much hit that wall at full speed constantly over the last couple of weeks. It has been one situation after the other, and what I have come to realize in the midst of it all is that I cannot do it alone. I know this isn’t a Christian blog and that spirituality can make people uncomfortable sometimes, BUT I just feel the need to vocalize this very simple truth.

There is a simpler way. The same creator of the world sees YOU as worthy. No matter where you are, what you are doing, what you have done, the things about you that you never want anyone know. There is nothing that can alter your true identity.

Okay! Enough of that… onto the lighter stuff.

If you have followed along on Instagram then you know that our most chatted about product of 2021, so far, is this pair of joggers. I stumbled upon them a few months ago and have been obsessed ever since. I have worn them from the gym, to demo, to meetings, real estate closings, etc. They are the best.

Here’s to a week full of hard work and finding joy in the little things!
