Happy Monday!! Starting this week off with one of our favorite design jobs from recent. We met this fabulous client earlier this year via Zoom and instantly got so excited to bring a little bit of color and whimsy to her playroom. What started as a virtual job quickly turned into a full blown install and the space turned out AMAZING. It is so full of light and color. She let us run a little bit wild with this job, from wallpaper to statement walls with paint. It is just the dreamiest room. One of her big requests was organization and functionality with enough room for her girlies to play. We wanted to design this space with a forward thinking intention so that the girls can grow into it and it can evolve with them once the barbies and stuffed animals are no longer the stars of the show.
Before…
After…
We wanted to jazz up the lighting in this room, but a fan was necessary due to how warm it is in the summer time. We found this fan and were immediately swooned! The blades tuck into it when its off and it is the perfect streamline piece. Subtle and functional all at the same time.
Desks / Chairs / Sconces / Rug / Fan
We love when clients pull out little sentimental pieces to incorporate into the design. This entire gallery wall was planned around those little personal touches.
Blush Pink Cabinets
White Pom Pom Baskets / Wicker Baskets
Wallpaper
Half Moon Wall Hanger / “It’s Cool to Be Kind” Wall Art
Battery Operated Sconces / Chalk Board
Blush Pink Baskets
Wall Shelves / Rug
Wall Shelve
Chairs / Desk
White Baskets / Desks
Sofa Cover / Mirror / Wallpaper / Curtains
She wanted to keep the sofa for the time being, for obvious reasons (kiddos= messes), so we ordered this sofa cover to brighten it up a little bit. It is a super soft velvet cover that worked perfectly for the space. This is a great alternative for a space when buying a new sofa isn’t ideal.
One thing that we love about an on sight install, is that it gives our team the freedom to shop around locally. Typically, we can cut cost of the “finisher” pieces by snagging a few things from Home Goods or Target at a fraction of the cost… and it is normally the fun styling pieces that make a room! The pillows, pink rug, baskets, and almost all of the wall art came from Home Goods and Target.
