Good morning! Happy MONDAY!!! Sitting here this Sunday evening missing my babe and catching up on a little “Before the 90 Days” on Prime while I complete this cabin reveal. If you’ve never binged a series of 90 Day Fiance, you are MISSING OUT! In the “I need a good… people are nuts… mindless television” kind of way. We spent our first zero-reno weekend at the cabin with our four kiddos which was wonderful and then John just stayed the night there last night as well with the boys so they’d have a shorter drive to school tomorrow. Missing him big time right now but busying myself with blog catch-up and photo editing. P.S. I will be loading our cabin onto Airbnb shortly to begin booking! Yay!!! Finallyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!
Today I am revealing another completed room inside our cabin which aside from the kitchen is the absolute heart of our home away from home… the living room! This room design is not only my first time designing with the color red in the last 15+ years but it is also quite possibly the coziest room I have ever created. My design began with inspiration from Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis’ new home and their massive emerald green velvet sectional. The entire space just screamed lush coziness and I began craving the same vibe in our cabin. So I chose six pieces from Jonathan Louis Furniture’s new Elara Collection in Royale Evergreen fabric to create a massive two part sofa/sectional which serves as a mega statement piece in this space. From there I fell in love with this gorgeous rug and the design grew from there. Oh and of course no room with a beautiful stone fireplace is complete without an alternative spot for the TV! I once again did my little “dresser hack” and used two super affordable Walmart dressers pushed together to create an affordable large scale TV console.
