Good afternoon!!! Another day… basically week, I mean month, I mean year later… and I am coming to you with the reveal of our breakfast room cabin! I know I have shared it quite a bit on stories over the last month but I wanted to make it blog official and of course share and link every last detail. This was such a fun little space to renovate. It’s always a little “challenging” to create a unique look within a larger space. To create a cozy, breakfast/dining nook feel with essentially just one wall. The design started to evolve once I chose the massive living room sectional, measured it all out and realized that pushing the table against the wall-ish would be a must! Therefore we would need a bench on the wall side and my mind started turning on what I could do behind it. I had considered a tapestry or upholstered banquette but couldn’t find any that I loved or that were affordable. Then I remembered these velvet panels and thought that might be a fun “banquette hack”! I simply ordered six panels in the 39″ x 46″ size in Sand Storm from Vant Panels and we installed them just above the bench I purchased from the Pottery Barn Outlet. Here is a peek at this space before and our finished breakfast/dining room TODAY!
