Happy Hump Day! Coming to y’all this Tuesday afternoon with a low smoke detector battery beeping every five seconds in our “too high for me to change” ceiling and a to-do list twenty miles long. Fun times! It’s always that way right? Missed one day of work this week coming back from vacation and everything piles up times twenty five. John and I spent the most relaxing, fun, romantic weekend in Austin, Texas. His first time in Texas and both of our first times in Austin. And then Ab and I are headed out again on Friday for Savannah, GA! We will be attending and sharing an event for the furniture company Ashley on Saturday AND we are hoping to connect with some of YOU on Friday night! I’ll be sharing details on social media Wednesday afternoon!
Today I am sharing the final reveal of our bedroom in the cabin. And I LOVE IT! It was one of the very last rooms we completed in the cabin so it’s been quite the retreat for us after sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a solid year. This room came together a bit slowly all starting with my random vision of a gray on gray look for the walls and trim layered with lots of warmth in textiles. For the walls I chose Imperial Gray by Benjamin Moore and for the trim and ceiling I chose Homburg Gray by Sherwin Williams. I think had the beams not been painted I would have worked around a wood tone for those but I do love how the fully painted look turned out. From there I layered it up with lots of texture and warmth all inspired by this rug find. Here’s a peek at the room BEFORE and TODAY!
