The Most Beautiful Hallway Landscape Mural Reveal…

THE MOST STUNNING LANDSCAPE MURAL by Belarte Studio

Good afternoon! First, I am SO SORRY about this morning’s blog post e-mail. I set up and pre-scheduled the next few weeks of blog posts but didn’t get around to actually finishing up our Italy tile mirror post over the weekend. Too much dirt in my nails from planting all weekend! 😉

Today I am sharing our second big reveal inside our historic fixer upper! I absolutely LOOOOVEEEEEE how this simple little new hallway was completely transformed with the one day install of a wallpaper mural.

First, let’s take a peek at this space BEFORE…

BEFORE…

As you will definitely see in the completed images, this space has changed A LOT during our renovations. A LOT LOT. Above in the “before” image, you are looking from the front brick fireplace formal living area (that we are about to have painted Beetle Black) into what will now be the kitchen. We completely reconfigured the layout of the home and essentially made this hallway but it is kind of where the doorway to the original kitchen is to the back left.

For this hallway, the first thing we did after John framed out the new hallway was to add an arch. It’s such a simple detail but it really makes the hallway and adds such a pretty touch to that corner of the kitchen and the view coming in the front door. It also frames the mural just perfectly!

For the mural, I chose THE MOST STUNNING LANDSCAPE MURAL by Belarte Studio. Maybe like six months ago, Belarte Studio reached out on IG about collaborating and I had honestly never heard of them before! One look at their website and they became a go-to for us on the interior design side of AW. We have now used several of their papers in projects that I will be sharing soon. And then now we are finally getting to use one in a “personal project”! I had narrowed it down to several but this ended up being the winner for Ab and I based on the fact that it ends in the family room which is a rich green with a taupe/white striped rug and it seemed like the perfect complimentary pattern.

Oh AND the fact that John “carved out” and left the original then hidden brick chimney is PERFECTION against the wallpaper and the most beautiful natural, textural touch. Ab and I installed this in about a half day last week and then after a few quick arch touch-ups the other day, it is now COMPLETE!

NEXT UP…
