As I’ve mentioned several times before, one of my biggest career dreams has been to land on the pages of a magazine. There’s just something about being able to see your work in print. To touch it, feel it, buy it at the store… that makes it so dreamy to me as a designer. Although our home was photographed earlier this year for a feature in a Better Homes & Gardens publication, Color Made Easy, that feature is still several months out. So when I found out that our feature in Atlanta’s “Modern Luxury” publication Jezebel would be out in April’s “Best of Atlanta” issue, I couldn’t WAIT to see it! So much so that when I got the e-mail about it being released, I ran to several local stores to hunt it down. Only to find out that it didn’t actually hit newsstands for two more weeks. Sigh. But last Thursday I finally got to see it AND celebrate at Jezebel’s Issue Release Party at STK in Atlanta. Here are some pictures from that night…

The back story… Last Summer I was contacted by an editor for BHG that had stumbled upon my blog and wanted to scout a feature of our home. She first requested scouting images so I hired a fabulous local photographer, Paige Ewing Photography, to shoot our home. At that time, I was unsure that they would actually send out their own team to shoot our home several months later. You can read more about that shoot HERE. ANYWAYS, so Paige shot our home and posted the images online. The Editor-In-Chief for Jezebel then saw the images and contacted me about featuring our home and our story. The rest is history! Oh and did you see the article title? “Down the Rabbit Hole”. Get it? Alice in Wonderland = Addison’s Wonderland. How cute is that?!?
