Good morning! Happy Wednesday! It is my every other “cabin week” so Ab and I are wallpapering away for the next two days. Will share LOTS on IG stories! I used to always hire out wallpaper because it was soooo intimidating but after tackling quite a bit at my boutique and then several other small projects at my other cabin, we’ve gotten mega brave and have moved on to full bedrooms, bathrooms and ceilings. Wish us luck! And sanity. Lots of window and door trimming sanity. Sharing tips, tricks and tutorials on the blog SOON!
Before I get to chatting about Walmart’s Online Pickup and Delivery and how much it has saved my sanity, I wanted to share a super duper quick life update. First things first… YES, John and I are getting hitched this year. EEEEKKKKKKKKK!!! But NO, we are not engaged. YET. I know… I know… I know… Life is “confusing”. I did a whole lot of explaining on THIS POST but in short… we made the decision last Fall/Winter to start chatting about the future and marriage and a million other big decisions from where we would live to how involved we wanted our kiddos to be in those decision making processes. Addie and I had made a pact shortly after my divorce that I would never ever “hide” anything from her and that I would never throw any “life surprises” her way. She also expressed how much she wanted to be involved in any possible future engagement or wedding so that is exactly what John and I decided to do. Work things a little backwards and decide the big stuff before the fun “little” surprises. And since I am apparently “impossible to surprise”, her and John and Abigail have all been in planning ca-hoots these last few months for that big day. Don’t worry, I am even more eager for it to happen so I can dish out all the details than all of you! I will share that we have set a date… our wedding date is JULY 5TH! Here’s what I also do know… First, I am hugely guessing that Addie has a big hand in our engagement day. She and John are all giggles about things and I have been locked out of her room quite a few times now while she works away at something creative. I also heard through the grapevine that John has designed my ring himself (he is super artistic) and has since tweaked it a million and one times but SHHHHHHH… I am not supposed to know ANY OF THAT! 😉
Whew, okay so on to big news number TWO! I AM SELLING MY CABIN! Yep, Winnie’s Woodsy Wonderland is ON THE MARKET! Before those of you who have it booked this Spring, Summer or Fall freak out… NO WORRIES WHATSOEVER! The listing will require AW to continue as property manager and handle all current bookings which extend until October in the possible future sale. The good news to the future buyer is that they’ll be buying a property with an excellent rental history and heavily booked 2021 rental calendar that they will profit from (minus nominal management “fees”) And the good news for me is that John and I can move forward on big things we have in store for us and for AW! Not sure if and when it will sell but fingers CROSSED! Like I was chatting about on IG stories over the weekend, we have been planning and plotting merging careers and this made the most sense as step number one! If you are interested in the cabin, you can check out the LISTING HERE!
Welp, needless to say life is busy and has been quite crazy for a while now. Plotting and planning everything from career goals to becoming a family. As I shared last month in my “Juggling it All” blog post, things like Walmart’s Online Pickup and Delivery have been HUGE for me in maintaining a good work/life/mom balance. I can honestly say I have maybe stepped inside a grocery store 3-4 times in the last six months. I get groceries delivered straight to my door every single week!
Last September I joined Walmart’s Online Pickup and Delivery and the only thing I regretted was not joining sooner. I not only use Walmart’s Online Pickup and Delivery for our home but I also use it to stock my rental cabin as well! I used to spend absolutely forever walking the aisles of the store stocking up for a month or so worth of cabin supplies. Filling carts with everything from forty rolls of paper towels to boxes and boxes of trash bags to three bars of soap for every single renter which adds up fast! I think that’s one of the things I love most about Walmart’s Online Pickup and Delivery, I can stock up with everything from dinner ingredients to school supplies to cleaning supplies and it is all delivered to my front door!
Walmart’s Online Pickup and Delivery offers pickup and delivery service with the same Walmart Every Day Low Prices as in store, no hidden fees or markups and pickup is always FREE (small delivery fee applies & $35 minimum order applies)! Walmart’s Online Pickup and Delivery is available in select markets. For delivery from your local store, there is a $35 minimum and small delivery fee applies.
XOXO, Brittany
