Happy Monday!!! Whew! I’ve made it. One week after sharing my life changing news and I am still ticking. LOL. It kind of feels like that ya know. Like getting through every day is an accomplishment. Gosh though, what a difference a few weeks can make. Well, time and the determination to have a positive, forward facing mindset. The last month and a half has been a kick in the gut to say the least. Two short months ago I thought we’d all four be boarding a plane for Europe in two weeks and today I sit here as a single woman. You really just never know what life is going to throw at you. This time however, I was and am DETERMINED to look at life’s lemons as the lemonade that God planned for my future. I already see glimpses of that more and more each and every day. And for that I am thankful.
Today I am sharing a back porch update! One question I have been asked quite often since my divorce announcement blog post is if the girlies and I will be staying in our home. And the answer is yes! I am so blessed and thankful to say that life will resume in all other ways as normal as possible for the three of us. We will be staying in our home, the girls will attend the same school and the three of us will still do our Summer travels every year just the same as always. We are leaving in two and a half short weeks and I could not POSSIBLY be more excited! As difficult as it has all been, I am looking at things like this as huge life blessings of stability amongst the chaos.
Last week in celebration of World Market’s HUGE one day sale, I got motivated to do a little Spring cleaning and a little design refresh on our back porch. It feels sooo good to have the pollen and fallen leaves and dead bugs all cleaned up. Ha! Abigail and I have been sitting out here typing away on our laptops quite often since the refresh and it’s been so relaxing! Nothing like a little nature and fresh air during hard times.
