Hi friends! Aggghhhh I am so excited to share some exciting news with you guys! I have literally wanted to take part in designing a Show House for as long as I can remember. Quite possibly before I even knew I wanted to be an interior designer. I have been to soooo many model homes, show houses and “Street of Dreams” type events since I was young. My Mom always loved attending them and then I think I attended quite a few with my Dad over the years as well. I was always so goo goo eyed over such beautifully decorated homes.

So that is why I am elated to share that I have been chosen as a designer for Invitation Homes very first Make It Home Show House in Atlanta! Invitation Homes is the premier home leasing company and can be found in 17 markets across the U.S.! They have more than 80,000 high-quality, updated and professionally maintained homes with convenient proximity to jobs and good schools. Did you know that there are more U.S. households renting than at any point in the last 50 years? Also, that more than 100 million Americans rent their home? That is why Invitation Homes has put together a team of design experts to create the Make it Home Design Forecast and Show House here in Atlanta! EEEEEEEEEKKK!!!

Each of us will be designing a different room of the Show House to highlight lease-friendly, affordable design and décor tips to help make any house a home. And I have a feeling that you guys could maybe guess what REMOVABLE design feature I am going to showcase! Hint… it’s ALL OVER our home!

Here is a little sneak peek…

Now for THE DETAILS!!! The “Make it Home” Show House will be open May 15-18, with opportunities to visit the house for a designer led tour and workshop! I am so excited to be designing the formal living room with a modern take on “formal”. Keep on reading and I will share the room “BEFORE”! I am also hosting a workshop on May 17 from 10am – noon for you to come visit and learn more about removable wallpaper! Here are all of the details on my workshop…

Visit InvitationHomes.com/MakeitHome to sign up for my workshop and follow along as we make this leased house a home!

Oh and one last thing! A peek at the formal living room “BEFORE”…
