I know, I know… the blog is lagging a bit behind Instagram. It used to be the opposite and I am working to get back there but in the meantime I am trying to document, detail and link away on here. ANYWAYS… today I am sharing our bedroom TV console wall! I am over the moon obsessed with every single detail BTW. Every. Single. Thing.
I think the reason I love this creation so much is that it’s a combination of soooo many elements… color and pattern of course along with lots of texture, memories, travel finds and meaningful pieces from John’s former home. Originally, several years back I had a very large, tall dresser in this spot but it just never really spoke to me. It was kind of too high for a television and was more storage than we really needed given that we have a large closet. So I went back to the drawing board, gathered some inspiration I’d pinned a few years ago and went to work creating a unique, fun “out of the box” tv console area.
First up was finding two long tables that fit the space and fit my vision. John and I shopped around our town to lots and lots of antique stores and found two that were PERFECT! Our town is actually the antique capital of the Southeast so I always love seeing what’s new at all of our local stores.
Next up, WHITEWASHING to get the exact look I wanted…
And FINALLY… accessorizing away! Here’s a peek at our “newly-ish” completed tv console area…
