Lately do you feel like my blog is a jet-set time machine back to the 70’s? I almost feel like if we wait just a few more years, all of this craziness might just come back in style. I sure as heck hope not but styles do go round and round! Some things about this room completely befuddle me… Why do you need a sitting area in your master bedroom that’s larger than my kid’s rooms?… What exactly are you doing with six dining chairs lined up facing your closet wall?… Nonetheless this room needed some Addison’s Wonderland voodoo. Like woah…

Construction
First up, gut it ALLLLL! Everything that could come out, was gone… trashed, donated or re-purposed. I did manage to find a treasure of a mustard gold love seat that I took home and two decent nightstands that I re-used in the bedroom area. Next, it all got a fresh coat of paint! I chose Alabaster (white) for the walls to brighten the space and keep it relatively neutral. For the trim and doors I chose Cityscape (gray) to add a nice contrast. And then I HAAAAD to do my signature POP of color with Rich Navy on the back wall of the bedroom area for a fun and unique accent wall. From there, it was fresh new carpeting, furnishings and accessories! Since this is a quick flip with a tight budget, I kept the furnishings minimal yet sleek and sophisticated.
