Happy Tuesdayyyyyy!!! Whew this weekend went by soooo fast!!! It was honestly one of the best weekends I have had in a very long time. Friday night we had a beer tasting event at Addison’s Wonderland with a new brewery coming to town soon called Major Humphrey’s Brew Co. It was such a fun night of socializing and then of course forcing myself to try a sip of beer. LOL. I am such a wine girl but there was actually a watermelon one that I loved! I love our growing small town so much and getting the chance to truly be a part of it all. We just released our November event schedule so make sure and check it out if you are local! The Addison’s Wonderland event space is also available to book for your own parties and events so make sure and check that out as well! You can check it out HERE! And then Saturday I went on an all day and evening date. Yep, I am seeing someone. As most of you know, I went through a sudden divorce earlier this year and have been a little hesitant to jump into dating land. Well because, to be completely honest, I have never ever been in dating land. Ever in my life. I started dating my ex at 14 years old and then we got married at 20 so I completely bypassed that part of life. I took some time to myself at first and then started talking to someone over the Summer around the time we were headed to Europe. Literally just talking. I wasn’t quite ready and was really just wanting to focus on life and getting my girls through everything. Although I have to admit that it was nice to have someone to chat with and open up to. Come August, I became a little more open to the idea of actually dating and connected with someone with whom I have lots of mutual friends. I haven’t been ready to share all of this yet with you all because to be honest, I have a LOT to share with y’all. But I am taking my time while also trying to be open and vulnerable and honest. It isn’t easy but I am trying. It may seem as though things went from a great marriage to a happy divorce and it hasn’t QUITE been that way to say the very very very least. So after some time dating him August and September and then lots of deep thinking about my future, I had to be honest with myself and realize that although he was wonderful to me, it wasn’t forever. And although I am not looking for forever right this minute, I want to date someone with whom I could see a future forever. I am not one to just go crazy and have fun. I also really know what I want. And I am willing to wait however long it takes to find just that. And then a few weeks ago, I met someone. I am terrified to put anything into writing but I really really really like him. Like a lot. Let’s just say that I am all in and excited to see where things go. Oh and if I have a type, he is 100% my type. Okay, maybe 1,000% 😉
Today I have teamed up with Cement Tile Shop to share another reveal inside the Addison’s Wonderland Event Space! And this just might be my very favorite spot in the whole space.. and it isn’t even just because I love me some wine. LOL. In creating the event space, I wanted a beautiful focal point that could serve as a bar, a gathering point and an inviting place to wine and dine. I chose Cement Tile Shop’s Casablanca Green Tile to add a huge pop of color and pattern to the 17′ x 8′ bar and I LOVE how it turned out! I have used their cement tiles in quite a few projects in my home over the years and they’ve held up amazing and are always such a WOW factor! Excited to show you guys the final product…
XOXO, Brittany Hayes
