Good morning! Happy Wednesday! Coming to y’all a wee bit late on this blog post. Trying to get caught up and back on track with posting but I was a little “share happy” with our china cabinet styling video and hit publish on it for Instagram before this detailed blog post was ready. Anyways, here we go with a peek at our new china cabinet along with styling ideas and just about every gorgeous china/storage cabinet I could find! Sharing all of my faves below!
So first things first, I have been absolutely DYING to get a china storage cabinet for our dining room. If I were to say that I “collect” anything it would be dishes. Not even sure why or when it started but I am absolutely HOOKED on finding and purchasing fun plates, bowls, platters and even serving utensils and cloth napkins. I think it’s possibly a wee bit of my love for Europe that has me all about making a meal into an event. A really beautiful event. It’s definitely a lot more work when it comes to setting up and doing the dishes but sometimes it kind of feels like the only point in the day when everyone is together and actually sitting down to relax. Which makes the extra time worthwhile most days.
Several months ago I finally found “my piece” and got it ordered. It was a wee bit pricey but something I felt would not only be a functional addition to our home but a beautiful statement piece right when you walk into our front door. So here she is…

Storage Cabinet
Absolutely GORGEOUS but also half on our dining room rug and half off. Ever so slightly off kilter. I then decided to scoot it off of the rug and come up with some ways to create visual weight on the side that now has more wall space between the cabinet and the curtains. In addition, with the almost 12′ height of our ceilings, it absolutely needed a little visual height as well…
