Juggling Working Mommyhood…

Good Morning! Happy Wednesday! We are officially one week into the school year and all fingers and all toes continuously crossed, things are GOOD. Really, really good. Aside from now having to wear masks all day and eat lunch in their classrooms, school is back in session and things are working their way back to normal. Which means mommy is officially back to work too! Oh and we did forget a lunchbox one day and masks another but the school mornings are slowly but surely coming together. With my blog as busy as ever, “Winnie’s Woodsy Wonderland” fully booked, AW brick & mortar back to full hours and Camp Wonderland underway, things are well… BUSY. LOL. I’ve always had such a working mommy struggle with juggling pursuing all of my dreams and being a present full-time mommy. Mommy guilt is no joke! Along the way I’ve learned more and more that focusing the daily 8am-2:45pm “school’s in session daily working hours” on my strengths and then creating “shortcuts” to everything else allows me that extra time when the girlies get out of school to focus on the two things that matter most… MY GIRLS.

Of course there isn’t a magic equation to making it all work without adding extra hours to the day…. has anyone figured out how to do that yet??… but I have slowly gotten into a groove for what works for us. Now that the girlies have gotten older, they’re helping out more around the house which is a HUGE help! From bringing down their dirty clothes to putting up their clean laundry, setting and clearing the dinner table and even doing dishes from time to time, that of course has been HUGE! We have also been getting into a routine of making lunches and water bottles the night before as well as setting out outfits before bedtime to make the mornings a little less chaotic. Once I drop the girlies off at school, I spend 8am-9am scheduling social media posts for the day and then I do a 15-30 minute workout with my sis in my basement at 9am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Abigail and I have made a weekly schedule too so that we can devote all of one day each week on either blog stuff or store stuff or design work. That way our brains are in that mode for the entire day. That has been huge for us! And finally, something that I feel the last six months has really gotten us all into… online shopping for almost EVERYTHING!

Aside from fun little shopping days downtown or popping into a local store for a thing or two, I can honestly say that I now do at least 90% of my shopping online. Even groceries! And I swear it saves me money too! Particularly when I peruse the grocery aisles hungry and literally want to buy everything in sight. A week or so ago I discovered Walmart’s Express Delivery Service and I’ve most definitely added it to my list of time savers. It was one of those days when I had just gone to the store several days prior to make it through the first few days of school into the weekend and has successfully forgotten at least a dozen things. Plus, I needed a good fridge stock-up anyways but had no extra time. So Walmart Express Delivery Service it was! It took me maybe 10 minutes max to load my online cart with everything from lunchbox stuff to a new thermometer to check temps before school everyday to a few missing school supplies and soup thermoses. And in two hours or less it was all LITERALLY sitting right at my front door! Once they were finished unloading they rang the doorbell and were on their way.

Walmart’s Express Delivery Service is the ULTIMATE convenience. It is available from 10am-6pm local time from your local store at the same low prices you would pay in store every single day. So whether you have a napping baby and just ran out of diapers or you have company coming over and you’re still running around getting the house ready, Walmart’s Express Delivery Service is the way to go! Here’s a peek at my recent Walmart Express Delivery haul and a few must have items! Oh and it also motivated me to clean out my fridge…

Walmart Express Delivery is subject to availability at select stores. Standard delivery fee and/or Express delivery fee may apply. Minimum order applies.
