Hey hey!! Happy Wednesday friends! Is anyone else feeling like this summer is absolutely FLYING by??? I feel like the girls got out of school yesterday and it has already been a month… freaks me out! I know that a lot of that can probably be blamed on busyness. Everytime I feel like things might be slowing down a bit, the calendar fills right back up. I honestly don’t know if I would want it any other way. I am a bit of a creature of chaos and tend to gravitate towards the “madness.” I think I might also just have a severe case of chronic FOMO.
With that being said, I have been TERRIBLE about making time for my relationship. Jess (my fiance) and I have been so bad about making date nights happen and spending intentional time with each other, but it truly feels like there is no time left in the day right now! SOOOO, with the help of Walmart’s same day grocery delivery, I decided to throw together a little date night at Britt and John’s last night. Nothing crazy or extravagant, just some pizza, cards, and pool time. I think half of my problem is feeling like things need to be crazy, over planned, or dressed up and I get overwhelmed trying to make it all work.
I hopped on my Walmart app yesterday and put together a quick meal (they have SO many last minute options), ordered some citronella candles, and surprised Jess with a cute little date night “in”. Walmart has a SLEW of fast, ready to go meals, that make busy life a little bit easier… and having everything delivered straight to your door while you are working is one of the greatest things EVER. I even remembered, a little while after ordering, that we needed laundry detergent and added it to the order. It really doesn’t get any better than that! Whether you are needing a quick meal for your family, missing some crucial items for the house, or wanting to put together a last minute date night, Walmart has it all!
After I finished everything up for the day, I tossed together dinner in about 20 minutes and even had time to “cutesy” the table up a little. Needless to say, we had the best night… played cards by the pool and ate our weight in pizza… and I am so glad we took a minute to be STILL in the midst of the busyness.
So, here is your sign to pull out your phone, order a quick meal from Walmart, and turn dinner at home into an overly romanticised date night with your hunny. I promise you won’t regret it!
