Our Newly Completed Kitchen Cutting Board Wall…

Good Morning from the Amalfi Coast! Sitting here this morning on our incredible Airbnb front balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea while all of our kiddos are still sleeping sharing our most recent project! We literally finished up and photographed this one just hours before heading out the door on our Summer adventure. I am even wearing my airport outfit!

As you have probably seen in our breakfast room over the years we have the cutest little cutting board wall. I created it several years ago partly for beauty and partly for NEED! We have sooooo many cutting boards and our collection only seems to be growing. Not to mention the fact that as a designer I am always a sucker for good natural texture in a space and cutting boards are definitely perfect for that! So many beautiful wood tones and grains.

Up until just last week, we had a bit of a mini-cutting board wall with a never-used tv perched high above that was a bit of an eyesore. John took it down last week and we decided to not only add a few more cutting boards to heighten the feature wall but to also add a few pieces of trip memorabilia to the space as well. I LOOOOOOVE collecting beautiful finds on our trips and we picked up a few in Portugal that I was so so excited to incorporate. Here’s a peek at the wall with everything down and a fresh coat of paint…

Oh and I also replaced the knobs on our little dresser cabinet with THESE GORGEOUS KNOBS and they turned out so cute!

Dresser Knobs

From there we rounded up all of our cutting boards, John held them up and we made a plan for the hooks

Wall Hooks

For the hooks, he used THESE SINGLE WALL HOOKS and made sure each one was placed in a stud because some of these are HEAVY!

AND VOILA!

Next up, aside from the cloth napkin I got and framed from the train depot store in Pinhao, Portugal (Duoro Valley), we also hung a ceramic head I purchased in Obidos, Portugal and a ceramic cake server I also found in Pinhao that same trip. I LOOOOVE all of the blue and white!

And then I styled up the cabinet with a few simple touches including THIS AMAZING PLEATED LAMP SHADE atop THIS LAMP

AND IT IS COMPLETE!

Shop This Space…

XOXO, Brittany Palazzo
