Good morning friends! Today is FRIDAYYYYYY and an extra special one too! My kiddos are officially done with school. Woot woot! Which means that the next 48 hours will be completely blissful with no lunch making or dragging little ones out of bed by their toes. Until hour 49 rolls around and my girls realize that they’ve been so excited they haven’t fought in two whole days.
Not only am I celebrating Friday and the end of the school year, but I am also mega celebrating the fact that we leave for Europe in mere days! AND my pre-trip to-do list is mega dwindling too! One last weekend this weekend at our cabin putting the final “rental touches” on everything and then we will be flying awayyyyyy! Eeeeek!!!
And guess what??? We will be Summer-ing in Europe for six weeks and I am not checking a single bag. Yep, one carry-on suitcase and the coolest underseat carry-on “personal item” is ALL I am packing! It literally feels so liberating. One of the main reasons I started our Summers away last year was to “leave it all behind” and adventure the world. This year I’ve decided that rolling around a ginormous suitcase to destination after destination is just not my idea of a dreamy Summer exploration. So I am ditching the mega-load and opting to bring enough items to create multiple outfits combinations that ALL fit in ONE carry-on bag. I have fit every single clothing item in this post PLUS three pairs of shoes in my main carry-on suitcase and then all of my toiletries, laptop, purse and other small items fit in my underseat carry-on. From these items, I have somehow managed to create 30+ outfits from these items. Lots of basics plus a few fun pieces and TADA! Tons of outfits to choose from during our travels. And yes, we will be hitting up some laundromats or using the washer/dryer in some of our accommodations. Oh and P.S. I found some cozy, slightly lower pumps for our trip that are arriving Monday. I have linked them at the bottom of this post. I just wore my favorite nude heels for these pictures. I will mostly be trecking Europe in my tennis and sandals 🙂
