Good morning! Can y’all even believe that Summer is more than halfway over?!? John’s boys start back in just three weeks and my girlies shortly thereafter. Even though we spent two weeks with all of them in Cali, Summer time with them still feels so quick and short! Especially with Austin starting tenth grade, Addie and Zach starting eighth and then Winnie more than halfway finished with elementary school. It feels like the “grow up” countdown is on and it makes me soooo sad!!!
This past weekend John and I headed up to the cabin to bust out some reno work and get things all cleaned up to spend a few days with the kiddos before we leave for our honeymoon next Monday. This week is actually our last week with the boys before they start back school which is so crazy! Although we were “kid free” for the weekend before getting all four back Monday, we wanted to use our solo weekend to focus on renovations to free us up Monday and Tuesday with the kiddos here at the cabin. We worked our booties off until 10pm both Saturday and Sunday and got a ton done! Sharing some update pictures below…
In order to get a ton done and not spend our days running errands, we utilized my Walmart+ membership to the FULLEST these last few days. Between Walmart’s “I need it now delivery option” with Express Delivery (and as a W+ member they waive the delivery fee with just a $10 express fee), “I need it soon delivery option” with Free Delivery from your store as soon as today ($35 minimum & restrictions apply) and their “I need it by tomorrow shipping option” where you can choose from hundreds of thousands of items, shipped to your home with Free Shipping, No Order Minimum Required (excludes freight & Marketplace items)… we took advantage of them ALL stocking up with everything from furniture pieces to hydration packets, sheets for all of the beds, kitchen silverware and even bananas and gluten free Oreos! Seriously SUCH a timesaver for us in all of our projects! Here’s a peek at what all we stocked up on for the weekend as well as a few cabin updates…
