Travel With AW… Girls Gone GREECE!

Good morningggggg! Oh my goodness WE ARE SO EXCITED to announce that THIS FRIDAY 12pm EST is the official launch of our GIRL’S TRIP TO GREECE! Yep, the launch was delayed a bit from our first projected date but we are all set and ready to go! So I wanted to get on today and chat about that PLUS give you more details about the trip in general before we open up booking! As y’all know I absolutely LOVE to travel and beginning this travel extension of Addison’s Wonderland is a dream come true.

First let’s chat about the trip… our very first “Travel With AW” trip is a girls’ trip to Greece! The trip is October 7th-13th and will begin in Athens, Greece and end in Santorini, Greece. I have been to Greece, both Athens and Santorini, twice now and it is truly one of (if not) THE most incredible places I’ve ever been and I cannot WAIT to experience the beauty of it all with 20 of YOU!

The trip will be seven days and six nights… two nights in Athens and four nights in Santorini. Both hotels will be four star accommodations and each room will be double occupancy. If you are traveling with someone, great! If not, wonderful! We will chat with y’all after all spots are booked to determine how best to pair those traveling alone. This first trip will be a girl’s trip but we will definitely be doing lots more including couple’s trips and even some more adventurous ones headed up by Ab. This trip will be such a great opportunity to see the world, meet new friends and have some serious YOU time away from it all! Throughout the seven days, we will be doing lots of adventuring, shopping, eating, drinking and relaxing. We’ve planned it out to be what I feel like is the perfect mix of it all!

The trip cost is $3799 per person and includes six nights of accommodations (double occupancy), airport transfers (depending on arrival times), two group dinners, all breakfasts, several tours all led by our own personal local guide, a ferry from Athens to Santorini plus a few extra things Ab and I will be throwing in! The trip does not include airfare to Athens, Greece or airfare from Santorini, Greece back home. We are happy to answer any questions about that and will be putting together a private Facebook group to aid everyone for the trip!

Now let’s chat about why I delayed the launch a bit. As y’all know, I LOVE TO TRAVEL. Ab and I want this “Travel With AW” venture to be all kinds of amazing with several different trips each year so perfecting this first one was beyond important to me. For our travels, we are utilizing a group travel platform called Trova Trip. They have lots of pre-set itineraries and are able to organize, plan, and book it all for a lot less with a lot more ease than for Ab and I had we arranged it alone. I quite honestly went round and round about it because while the cost, knowledge and liability benefits were amazing, their itineraries were very set in stone… So I thought…

After going back and forth with Trova A LOT, speaking with our planner, and pricing out the trip with several travel agents, we decided to continue with Trova because we were THRILLED to find out that they agreed to make all of our requested changes even though that’s not something they’ve done before. The first change I wanted to make was to end the trip in Santorini rather than Athens. Sounds strange, BUT I felt like possibly for a few of you, six nights may seem a bit short for a flight to Europe. We felt it was perfect for a fun-filled girl’s trip, but also wanted to offer the option to extend your time in Santorini on your own OR to island hop if you decided to! Since we have a local guide leading our trip, it took a little more configuring than it may seem. Next, we wanted to upgrade the hotels a bit and change up the location. After having visited each place twice before, I knew what I wanted and it wasn’t part of their set itinerary. We also chose to change up the two local group dinners (small detail) and for Ab and I to add some fun little touches. ANYWAYS, I promise promise promise the delay was worthwhile and we sooooo hope you will join us!
