Hello friends!!! I cannot believe another week of 2019 is in the books. Every year flies by quicker than the last and this year is certainly no exception! With my new Addison’s Wonderland brick and mortar store mega underway, Mark starting a new division of his business every other month and Addie and Winnie in more after school activities than ever, life is well… NUTS. Absolutely freaking NUTS. As we speak, Abigail and I are working, Mark is cooking dinner after having just dropped the girls off at their aerial arts class, I will be headed out to pick them up here shortly and then he is headed with Winnie to soccer and then he has bible study while Addie and I head downtown to peek at a few changes inside my new store. Whew! A little day in the life for you. The one strange little thing though that has seemed to keep me sane lately is my mission to organize our home. I have been trying to take on one organization project at a time and my most recent was my sweet little Winter’s closet.
I am soooo sad though that for this one I totally forgot to take a “before” picture because it really was a complete disaster. We already had the white shelving and rods in the closet but everything else just got thrown onto the floor. Shoes and all. I also wanted to add a cute little decor touch as well and I fell in LOVE with Rocky Mountain Decals on Instagram. I had been dying to use some of their peony decals on a project and I decided that their Peony Wall Flowers was the perfect choice for her cute little closet. I wanted to create a “falling from the sky” look in the upper left corner of her closet since it’s a bit of a pitched ceiling on that side. I can honestly say that they were SOOOO incredibly easy to apply. I simply peeled back one side and slowly pulled the backing off as I scraped the decal down with a wide, flat plastic putty knife. It literally took me maybe twenty minutes to adhere ALL of these flowers to her wall. And they look so darn cute! Here’s a peek at her closet “today” and all of the detailed product links…
Oh and quick funny story… I LOVE sharing the “real life” behind my social and blog so I had to share this with y’all. So literally THE NIGHT I completed her closet, her left shelf and rod fell off the wall. AND the back one isn’t far behind so I have emptied that one as well until Mark can fix it. I hadn’t realized how loose the screws had gotten so that’s why I wrote “today” in quotation marks above. LOL. Sooo back to square one with a messy closet. Ha!
