Good Afternoon! Currently downing half a bag {the big Costco sized ones} of the Purely Elizabeth Cookie Granola. That stuff is insanely addicting! My extreme lack of self control should force me to stop buying it but Winnie always asks for it so here we are… packing back on all the pounds lost since our Summer travels! Ha!
Today I am FINALLY sharing our completed SUNROOM!!! We say “sunroom” but it is actually now a fully enclosed, heated/cooled “addition” to our home… so more like another living room now. Although, it is DEFINITELY very sunny… so living up to it’s name for sure! So much so that tomorrow we are having the windows professionally tinted. The sun absolutely killed the color of the sectional and rug we had in here originally. I’ll share more on that soon!
So first, here’s a peek back at this back porch when we first purchased our home in 2015 before our full gut renovations…
BEFORE…

Yep, our 1908 house was a HOT MESS when we purchased it back in 2015 and the porch was then enclosed with screens.
And then below, here’s a peek at this back porch space after we completely gut renovated the home. At that time we’d made it into an open back porch without screens. However, as gorgeous as it was, we never used it because it was typically completely covered in pollen and dead bugs. Gotta love Georgia! Ha!
After Our 2015 Renovations…

And then two years ago, John and I decided to make it into a part of the interior of our home. No easy task since we needed an entirely new HVAC unit just for this space along with of course massive custom glass window panels, new exterior doors and all. But John was determined to make it stunning and functional… he has such incredible vision and execution… and he ABSOLUTELY DID! From the moment we put a sofa in here last year once he finished up, it immediately became the most used and loved room in our home. So much so that it took me a while to get motivated to really think about how I wanted to furnish and design it because I didn’t want to halt or shake up our daily use of the space.
Then just a few months ago, we received the MOST FABULOUS new sectional… RECLINING sectional {never ever thought those words would come out of my mouth} from HomeBody and OMGGGGGG!!! Room completion motivation for sure! The sectional is the most beautiful gray blue that works so well with the paint color in the sunroom… which is also the exterior color of our home. From there, I wanted to ground the space with fun pops of color and pattern so I found the most gorgeous floral rug and cutest little patterned poufs. Added some accessories to warm up the space and it is now officially COMPLETE and we love it more than I ever imagined! Favorite room in the house by far for every single one of us! Here’s a peek at it TODAY with links and details on it all!
