So, we’ve had our back porch a few million ways over the last ten years. From a dining space to living space to new living space… Ha! Two things have kept us from using our porch more over the years. The brutal sun and the brutal weather on all of our furnishings. It’s always like as soon as we get it all set up, it’s dirty and wet and then… ruined. Outdoor furniture is so hard! This is actually our only completely outdoor space aside from our pool area. Our front porch is covered…we turned our back porch into a sunroom… and then our grill area is covered.
A little over a year ago now, I got the opportunity to partner with Outer and finally found outdoor furnishings that STAY CLEAN AND NICE!!! This post is NOT sponsored WHATSOEVER… just sharing that we truly do absolutely love their furnishings and it has helped us to enjoy our back porch so much more. This year I decided to just freshen it up a bit with a new rug and pillows… and a little shade!
John has been trying to convince me we should do an awning out here for years now and I just couldn’t ever quite get on board. And then a few weeks ago I saw these half umbrellas and thought they were PERFECT! And they have tassels. This girl loves anything with tassels!
Last note… it may seem odd to time an outdoor refresh with the end of Summer but let’s be honest, Summer in Georgia is MISERABLE! If we aren’t in the pool, hanging out outside is a no go. Fall however is AMAZINGGGGG and all we want to do is be outside in the amazing temps with zero mosquitos! Here’s a peek back at our porch “BEFORE” and TODAY!
