Happy Wednesday! Coming to you from our cabin this week for our Spring Break. I literally just woke up from a two hour afternoon nap and it was almost the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Hehe. No really though. I am almost always at least somewhat sleep deprived from constantly going ninety to nothing so I crashed at the very first chance. Mark got here around 2pm so we grabbed some lunch, came back t0 the cabin to chill and I was out approximately four minutes after walking in the front door. All I can say is that sleep is HIGHLY underrated. Now here’s to hoping I can fall asleep anytime soon tonight considering I woke up at 5:45pm. Oops!
Today I am sharing an update on our black walled master bedroom! I hardly ever share this space because it has remained in a highly incomplete stage for quite some time now. There has always been something that I just didn’t love about our bedroom. Something that never felt quite right visually. I thought it was simply the lack of a bedskirt to hide the boxspring or maybe even artwork and curtains but I had yet to have the time to really focus and figure it all out. We had been using this super ruffly duvet cover that I really loved but now I swear that is one of the main things that was throwing off the look. And for once in my life I have to admit that plain white, simple bedding is EVERYTHING. For real though. As much as I love color and pattern and all things busy, a bright white and simple place to rest your eyes can be key in creating a layered and luxurious look.
I partnered with Boll & Branch to share with you a master bedroom update and TRULY the absolute softest sheets and bedding that actually get softer with every wash. Boll & Branch sheets are made from 100% organic cotton and are even loved by three U.S. Presidents! I saw that on their website and thought that was the coolest thing ever. Ha! No seriously though our bedroom is literally like a brand new space now. Soooo super cozy and light and bright and everything that this room has needed all along.
In selecting our bedding, I went for a very simple look. I almost chose one of their banded duvet covers but held back and decided to go super simple with the Solid Hemmed Duvet Cover in White. For the sheets I did choose the Banded Sheet Sheet in White/Dune for a fun little detailed look that isn’t too busy. I truly felt like this space needed that simplicity for everything I plan to do with the space moving forward. And I can very honestly say it is PERFECT! Everything is so crazy well-made and soft and super cozy. I think I had always been worried that it would be a lot of upkeep with plain white bedding but so far I LOVE IT! Here’s a peek at our master bedroom TODAY!
