As you may know if you have ever built a home, remodeled a home or really done anything just about ever, you know that most things take a lot of planning. Although the flooring installations in Our Historic Wonderland just started two weeks ago, I have been scheming and planning for quite some time now. Mid-summer for family room flooring to be exact. I knew what I wanted. Kind of. And I knew where to find it. I hoped. Since you all loved the flooring in the upstairs and guest room of our previous home (found HERE), I decided to try Floor & Decor once again for their wide variety of in-stock materials. Floor & Decor actually offers the largest variety of high-quality, in-stock product at unbeatable prices, so your projects can now be reality!
One Summer day while Addie was at camp, Mark, Winnie and I made a little road trip to our local Floor & Decor to see what they had in stock. I knew I wanted something light and somewhat whitewashed to coordinate with what I had hoped, at the time, we could make our existing 1905 hardwoods look like. Which we did. Hallelujah!!! Here’s a little peek at our day…
After a tour around the store by their amazingly knowledgeable and friendly Pro-Services specialist, I went straight for the hardwoods. And it didn’t take long for me to spot this beauty. Love at first sight…
Timberclick® Solid Hardwood Flooring in Drift Oak
Yep, one and done! Mark spoke with our specialist for details on the installation process, we perused the store once more and called it a super successful day!

I love the flooring Brittany! It looks like a click & lock type similar to laminate flooring installation. If so, that looks super easy. How do you clean and care for these hardwood floors?

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! My husband and I just moved into our new construction home back in May and that type of floor, color and all is what I really wanted. I wish that would’ve been an option but instead I’m stuck with dark hardwood that shows EVERYTHING. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Brittany- We are interested in these floors but they don’t have them at the Colorado stores to see in person. They would have to ship them from out of state and I’m nervous because the photo on their website looks completely different to what your actual floors look like. If there’s any chance you could confirm that the name is absolutely Drift Oak I’d feel a lot better about commiting to the purchase :). Thanks much and I love following along with your gorgeous new home!

I love what you did with the flooring! Great color and workmanship. Floor and Decor is one of my favorite stores here. I always recommend it more than the typical big chain hardware stores. They have the best selection at some of the most affordable prices.

Hi, I have these floors as well and wanted to see how your are doing. Mine are crumbling, cracking, shifting and splitting. If your are experiencing the same thing, what did you do?
