Good morning!!! Sitting on my bed amongst a huge pile of clothes… some to put away and some to pack! We leave in almost exactly 48 hours and I have yet to put the first thing into my suitcase. We had set a goal back in January to have our cottage flip home on the market by the time we left for our annual Summer adventure and well… we are going to need every single second of the next two days to make that happen. John is currently meeting with our painters to have the newly completed deck that he finished just last night stained and painted and then he is headed to Home Depot to load up the new refrigerator because they couldn’t deliver before we leave. We are quite the hot mess!
Today I am sharing the cutest little banquette nook we completed last week in our Addison’s Wonderland event space {details on our event space LINKED HERE}! Over the last few years we have installed Vant Panels in quite a few spaces. First, there were the black velvet panels we used as a headboard in our last cabin {that blog post is LINKED HERE}, then the gray velvet ones we installed as a banquette in our current cabin {post LINKED HERE} that we have just recently replaced with ivory boucle panels {not yet blogged} as well as the chartreuse velvet ones we used as a double twin headboard in our current cabin {LINKED HERE}. If you are new around here or new to Vant Panels, they are the COOLEST! And so so easy to install. They are wall panels that are available in lots of different sizes and fabrics that pop into a track you install on the wall that can be used for lots of fun home decor purposes… from headboards to banquettes. For our event space, they were a very affordable option for creating a thirteen foot seating area that turned out STUNNING!
Over the last year or so, we have been trying to slowly do some fun, fresh updates to our very loved and booked Addison’s Wonderland event space. This is a space that is attached to our Addison’s Wonderland retail store and is an adorable 1,500+ square foot space we rent out for everything from birthday parties to baby showers, wedding showers and we’ve even hosted a few weddings! Once again, CLICK HERE for more information on our event space. Seven years ago now, when I first leased {and then two years ago purchased!} this building, the interior was literally in ruins. It was concrete walls and almost dirt floors. I spent a year renovating the space and it was been the biggest business blessing! But with a very booked space over the last six years comes a lot of wear and tear. So we have been trying to refresh the space and give it some beautiful and functional updates.
One of the most common update requests from renters has been more table seating. So we chose these GORGEOUS emerald green velvet scalloped Vant Panels {LINKED HERE} to create a thirteen foot banquette. John installed the tracks and then Ab and I popped in the panels! We then added a row of three wood benches, three round white marble tables and some really fun upholstered chairs {all linked below!} to complete the space. And it turned out even cuter than we thought!
